Nice song. I like very much the work on the bass: the main loop is very catchy and adds a definite jazzy touch.
Well done!
The epiano chords are building a very nice atmosphere.
Maybe the mix could "merge" better the voice, but I am not sure about it... I like it as it is and I should AB the two options, which you probably have already done ;-)
Thanks for sharing.
Ciao, Domenico
Domenico, thanks for listening and diggin' this track. I wanted to try to do something different and maybe complimentary to what Patricia did vocally. Thanks again.
making it a fav.
Very good work: balanced mix and nice atmosphere.
I agree with Ed: big city night music. I would use it as background music to drive across Paris around 2 am :-)
Ciao, Domenico
Definitely the track has potential.
Really like the "exotic" atmosphere. I am not so convinced about the whistle (at 2:29 for instance).
I enjoyed the song.
Ciao, Domenico
Very cool! I really liked the rap and the mix is very well done. Good balance of the different instruments.
You have a very interesting voice
Ciao, Domenico
Hi Janis,
Again a good one... one thought: since it is obvious that you like Portishead, have you considered posting the vocal tracks of the two covers to see if someone could make a different music for them?
I don't think it can be possible to make a better version than the original, but for sure it can be something different and still very interesting.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: did I mention that I really love your voice? :-)
Beth's voice is so unimitable ... ! I've loved this song for a long time . Its message is so universal ...
I'm glad you liked it, Domenico ;)
Thanks to YOU,
Bises :))
OK, so today I had some free time and was listening to some music and digging a bit in the depth of Looperman, what have I found? A real gem.
Thans a lot for sharing this with us Janis.
Superb. There is nothing out of place.
Ciao, Domenico
Well, the music and the mixing/mastering were made by a professional, so yes, it may sound good ...
Now I'm making music on my own, with my poor means, and it's quite hard to get things clean ;)
Anyway, I'm very happy you came over here, Domenico and liked this song, which is dear to me and reminds me of so many things .
Thanks a lot for your words,
Bises,
Janis
Grazie mile, Domenico ! I'm blushing ...
Well, if you say so, I won't contradict you ... lol ;)
Thanks to YOU for your supportive and kind comment .
Ciao, Sir,
Janis
Very nice track: I really like the strings at the end, I like that you left them "alone" for a couple of bars. They deserve it.
Good work.
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the compliment as well as the info about the bass; I'll try to turn it up in a future revision and make sure it's more audible when I redo the vocals. Speaking of the vocals, turns out I had accidentally uploaded a saved version of the instrumental. That issue's fixed now if you'd like to hear it with them. XD
I am interested in vocals and video for using in my music first.
Of course, to be nice be involved in some idea or projects. I just open for everyone and everything :).
greatest appreciations Domenico ,I should thank you for taking time & listen to & commenting on it .obviously sometimes nature is such beautiful as no words & no instruments can impart it .
really glad to see you've enjoyed it . Best wishes .

Nice piece of music. Very interesting.
Thanks for sharing.

PS: maybe the drums (timpani) should not sit so "in-the-front" in the mix (or maybe my hearphones have too much low end?)
PPS: I know I should avoid giving good comments to tracks where there is no bass guitar at all, but I liked this one :-)
Hi Mrwolf I shall take it as a compliment thank you for your review i completely agree with you about the drum and i think there is too much reverb in the vocal but i no longer have the stems so it is what it is thank you for your time have a great weekend Lee
Hi Beckstar, very good start! Lovely song!
Maybe if you upload the acapella of this song you may find someone willing to re-arrange it: I like the atmosphere, but I think it would require a bit more than the piano as background.
Keep the good work!
Ciao, Domenico
PS: by the way, the piano loop from Bear is wonderful! But that's no surprise to me.

I am sure that Donizetti would have liked your voice: you bring this aria to a new freshness.
