Cool one Billy!
Fast pace, I am glad that I am using headphones otherwise my colleagues would not have liked it: you need to listen this thing LOOOOOUD!
Good job.
Domenico
Thanks for taking a listen, hope they didnt think you was having a fit lol
Nice to know you like it loud too.!
Thanks for getting that prodigy vibe,It was intended as the Pace of life Track came about because i feel the pace of life seems to be getting faster.!
I just started hearing that thumping beat to the Prodigy's Smack My Bitch up in my head,so i tried just to capture that vibe, this track being the result!
I fully agree with BrillBilly: the song structure is perfect. The arrangement I would say you can only improve the mix/eq, and Billy had a good advice here.
Personally, I would apply different amount of reverb/delay for the quiet parts and the parts where you have more going on in the background.
Overall... wonderful song! Really professional. Respect.
Domenico
PS: I simply love the small vocal bit which you have in the beginning with a lot of echoes
Hello Domenico,
Thanks for commenting and giving me some pro advice. Im currently fiddling around for the first time with some reverbs and levelers on the vocals... and YEP you're absolutely right: Different reverb on the quiet parts is definiately the way to go (just found out through extensive testing).
So hopefully with the advice from the nice Looper-people taking the time commenting and guide the noob Ill be able to upload a version 2.0 soon :D
Wonderful Song (with capital "S")!
I specially enjoyed the intro part (which makes me thinking more of "middle east") but also the rest (which I feel more "indian") is really good!
Simply Wonderful!
Domenico
PS: on the weekend I had lunch with some Indian friends, this would have been the perfect soundtrack!
I'm very happy and deeply touched by your comment, Domenico .
It's always a joy for me to please my friends .
Take good care, my friend .
Bacione dalla Francia ;)
Wow! This is very intense.
I really love the vocal melody at the beginning and at the end: you have a good voice.
And the piano part in the middle, with the gunshots in background, is really moving. Maybe this part is even "too much".
Wonderful music!
Domenico
Nice track. Enjoyed it.
I could feel some type of "relaxation" but the synth-arpeggio part is building some tension as well... so we could tell it has been a "closure" but there is still a lot of road ahead of us. And on that's how it usually is in real life.
Thanks for posting your music.
Domenico
an old training it was man & I'm glad if U think I have done it as I wanted in allegro tempo Domenico .your Idea makes me become sure about that .and also I appreciate your taken time & usefull comment.Ciao___Behnam.
NIce one man!
As soon as I have listened to this poem from JJ I thought it had a lot of potential... and you have exploited it!
Well done!
Thanks
Domenico
Nice song. I really like the acoustic guitar, sounds very interesting. The guitar-solo parts are also nice, but it would be interesting to hear a vocal part as well on this one.
Good work!
Ciao, Domenico
Very nice, soft and joyful song.
Well produced: the mix is perfectly balanced... maybe your voice could be more in the foreground but I suspect your intention was exactly to "step back" and let the instrumental part shine.
Wonderful job!
Take care, Domenico
I only have "Bourgogne", don't like Bordeaux wines (oops ...)
Have a seat, my dear Domenico !
Yeah, wanted to be discreet ( for a change, lol ) and just fill my heart up with the happiness to share .
I'm enchanted you liked it and caught my smile in the wind .
Take care as well, mi amico ;))
Hi Behnam,
I don't know why, but is seems that the finest art is always bound to the saddest feelings.
And this is a perfect example: a very sad song touching the inner strings of the human souls.
Thanks again for sharing this wonderful moment with us.
Once more you confirm that you are one of the more talented artists.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: I second the idea of Dan Goldstein, check his website.
Domenico glad whenever I can see this Bass Guitar avatar below my trials ,my artist friend . and thanx alot for your lovely perception palpable in the words of your comment man.
Domenico , I think the finest art is always bound to DEEPEST feeling, not saddest one,not the hahppeist of them .only in deepest which quite effects to your sujective sensation about yourself, about the concept of the existance, about the meaning of being. man no doubt I should tell U thanX again for listening to this bitter trial of mine , which U know how was composed by all my brain & all my heart . and once more U confrim that U're one of the generous friends of mine who I know how much He is tallented & glad to having such friend like U. by the way thanX also about your PS phrase Domenico ,and ja,Now I'mgoin to check his loudable website.
the same Best wishes U know them my friend .____Behnam.
Good stuff: dance is not my genre (...and the last time I was in a disco we were still worried by the millennium bug!)
but this is good! I may already have told you, but I like your touch.
Take care, Domenico
Hi Behnam,
Again a wonderful piece of music.
I agree with the others: there is not much to remove here.
The bagpipes are wonderful and the other instruments are completely new to me: listening to your song has been a real experience for me. Thanks!
The only thing that it is not "as good" as the rest is the final "percussion" part. I think it is the same part you use in the intro, but when it starts again (~6:30) it breaks a bit the atmosphere. Maybe a fade-out on the bag-pipe theme would be better (just a thought).
For the rest: superb! I really enjoyed every minute: I have listened to this already 3 times in a row and I find it soooo interesting. Definitely something out of the ordinary.
Thanks my friend!
Domenico
Hey See Domenico too is here & I'm glad to see my good friend here to comment on my persian trial .&....ja..U're quite right about this good Idea...exactly the samepercussion riff which begins track is repeated in the last part & I can delet it !ja...exact..thanx alot Domenico for this usefull comment & I should really appreciate your carefull listening & attention about this matter about this trial of mine .right in the same way in email your Ideas are often usefull for me here below this trial too I can use your usefull Idea & I should be thankfull.take care about yourself my friend & accept my best wishes as always,Sincerely.___Behnam
Nice songs. I agree with the comment from ImpendingDoom about the lyrics.
Regarding the music part... I think the drums could be a bit more "definite" (I am not sure if you want to make them more "punchy" or more "subtle" but currently they are a bit too in-between, IMHO).
And I am not 100% sure about the ending solo, maybe you could try to use some of the good loops you can find 'round here ;-)
But again, nice song.
Domenico
yea.. agreed on the drums.. but I had to make do with what I have, and I only have one microphone to mic all of Johns drum kit lol.. so it was what it was. And yup.. that's Jeremy for you. He never plays anything in the right key's when he solo's. That's pretty much why I'm starting my band over from scratch. He just likes to try and show off and play his guitar behind his head and pick up "girls" instead of practicing or learning the right licks
Wow, this is a professional track!
Very very good!
I will try anyhow to pick up a couple of points where I would like to suggest you to try something different:
I am not sure the "bell-synth" should overlap with the bass part, according to my taste you should cut it *before* the bass enters (IMHO)
And I think you could also do something for the bass-drum and the snare to have them "cutting" more through the mix (maybe add a bit of "snap" to the bass drum, not sure though).
But again: wonderful work!
I am looking forward to hear the other tracks of the album.
Funny tune.
I liked very much the "sounds" you introduced at 1:00 and once more around 3:20
Maybe the main theme is not too "original" but the song is well composed and it develops well.
Domenico
PS: I find your title very inspiring: here where I live we don't see the sun very often...
Very good mate! You have a wonderful voice: powerful, with a bit of "growl" but accurate.
I wish you to play to a lot of concerts!
That's where the real fun is.
Domenico
PS: I played in a hard-rock band for some years, that was pure fun (I miss those times...)
Thanks Domenico, I am a fan of 70's Rock. Glad you enjoyed the track enough to leave a comment. It is appreciated. I will indeed be posting more tracks in the near future. Just got to take some down to make room. Thanks again.
