It isn't my genre but it all sounds thumping to me, it is just the ending that needs completing is the only fault I could find, that you are already aware of and taking care of. Nice work.

Nice loop. I like the change to lo-fi at some intervals. It would be interesting to hear what this would sound like with some vocals added.

Thanks for the comment.
Hopefully someone will add vocals, I'd love to hear that as well.

on Overthinking staring out windows by dimestop
Nice lyrics Paul. Your song writing skills are impressive and your adaptability, flexibility and commitment are obvious. I know I've mentioned it before, but I would like to reiterate that I like how strong messages are sent to the listener via your lyrics in all of your tracks.

You are gifted in your ever improving song writing skills and you are nurturing that talent well by acquiring relevant experience. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

thanks Dean you have become part off our community since you joined us, another great artist to listen to also, when i joined we had alot more in the featured community, i dont think it will ever get back to when it first launched but some of us try to stimulate growth, yes we are a little older and wiser we expect nothing, we all would be sat at home listening to our own work, why join a community if your not going to join in its pointless. i try to send messages in my lyrics, even my crass rapping i send out the signals about being confident and be yourself, for a mental health sufferer positiveness is a difficult word to exhibit but something you must achieve if you want to control it. i quoted you to Zoot too, comments do give you motivation bro, thanks again for your time

on Lost in the Trance by Snelkku
Nice track fellow Trance artist. I particularly like the changed chords from 2.14 onwards - these give a euphoric addition to the track and in the right place too. Your drum sequences work really well too. I enjoy listening to your work.

Nice track. I like the Donald Trump comment in the description. I'm pretty sure he'd be well in line for a BAFTA himself :)

thanks for the check out mate trump just makes me laugh as did Boris, but im sure he'd want more than a Bafta anyway he was at the UFC last weekend watching his man Colby Covington get beat by our boy Leon Edwards from my area Erdington in Birmingham we know him and his brother Fabien they are good friends with my son, although the fight was a poor one he still retained the welter weight title

on EP3 - All in a dream by BaoBou
This has a Synthwave feel to it. Coincidentally, as I have just uploaded a Synthwave track - the first one I have tried. I like this style, very retro and nostalgic. Love the guitar,I haven't read the comments but is the guitar your own piece? Best wishes.
BaoBou
BaoBou replied 19th Nov 2023 - 2 years ago
Yessir! If you hear a bass or guitar it's mine, generally keys or midi instruments will be mine, and if the drums sound sh!t they're also mine. If they sound good it might be a sample, as in this track ;)
The samples I used are one humming sound in the background, and a sort of scream/cry~ish sound you hear in the beginning and the end. The terrible vocals are mine ;)

on A Moment Of Reflection by Mosaic
I like the consistent minimalist arp in the background.
Good tension build around 1.42 and then the release is satisfactory.
For me, this has a Synaesthesia (Thrillseekers) feel to it.
I wonder how it would sound with some vocals added?
Best wishes from wintry South Wales.

Nice concept. Your lyrics work well over the original track. Some good stereo panning going on as well. The original is one of my favourite all time tracks, it's really good that it is kept alive through good remixes such as this. Good job.

on No Turning Back by Micky
I myself have struggled with drum fills - I find them the most annoying and difficult things to set up during producing - that is, if you aren't a drummer (like I'm not). But I love how you've used the drum fills in this track - very effective. The overall vibe of the track is great. Interested in your experience of Logic Pro. Have you used Ableton and if so, how do they compare? I'm considering changing, as I'm beginning to notice where Ableton falls short with certain things.
Micky
Micky replied 23rd Oct 2023 - 2 years ago
Hello Dean, thanks for stopping by and listening, I'm glad you like the track. I've only recently started working with Logic Pro. I came to it automatically after working exclusively with Garage Band for years, because Logic Pro, if you want it to, looks and operates exactly like Garage Band. So I can't tell you much about the DAW yet. I think that as I work with it, I will gradually get to know the advantages and special features. However, it has a lot of very good instruments on board. I installed some Izotope tools for mixing and mastering, which I can only recommend. I also have to confess to you that I have no idea about any other DAW (like Ableton Live) because my Garage Band worked for me and that was all I cared about. Sort of a blissfully ignorant person, I guess. Therefore, I'm hardly the right person to discuss different DAWs, but I'm happy to answer any basic questions.
Cheers,
Micky

Nice overall vibe to the track. Initial impression is that it was slightly loud on the ears but I listened to my crap headphones. Will try and get better feedback once I've listened to it in my production ears.

on Near The End by Snelkku
Mate, really good effort this. I love it all but especially love the melodic parts @ 1:20 to 2:24 and 3:04. I've been off this site for a while and this track has actually grabbed my attention immediately upon returning. The only thing that, for me personally (and it is a personal preference), the beat is a little fast. but the melodic parts of this track are superb in my opinion. Good job - you should be proud of this.

on I Peter Jackfruit by Mosaic
I like the use of sidechain in this track, I personally don't think it is overused; I think the amount that you have used actually suits this style of music (just my personal opinion). I also like the drum fills that have been used throughout. Overall good track, and easy to listen to, there's nothing in this track that my ears struggled with. A track well done.

Hi, I like the energy of this track. The synth sound at the beginning reminds me of a popular trance track of the 00s, which I cannot for the life of me remember the name of! Good effort with the track, I like the overall vibe of it. Looking forward to hearing more from you. Best regards from (not very sunny) South Wales, UK.
