Hi Alan, I am not good in analyzing details but the whole song is a flow of Art. Silver Bella do come out quite different behind all the spheres and the message flows directly into my soul. May give her voice 2-3 dB more gain after 58sec or less for the guitar :-) Cheers, Oli

Thank you for keeping it "electronic". Beautiful pads and nice bass. The Reverb is some kind of an art. No annoying trap sounds. You found a new fan here :-)

on Keep it Right There by ronabo

So we got the middle part. Now we need some voices (had the line "You are amazing" in my head), another catchy instrument with an additional melody, an nice upbuild start, some smaller breaks and an end. Your musical skills and the feelings are spot on. May find some local musicians you work together with and make that great. The feel is already there. This thoughts went through my head whilst listening to it and in no way any critics. The sax alone is golden :-)

Eric, that was a beautiful production. Made with love and a fine ear for sounds. Steelyvibes voice fits very well.

EricMilligan replied 25th Jun 2024 - 2 years ago

Yes, thanks very much VN. I thought the vocals really did work well. Was a bit tricky getting the levels of the Vocal vs orchestral backing properly balanced in the last section of the track. Took me several revisions of the mix to get it sounding right.

Hello Alan, what a nice vibe through the song. Great Mastering (could go straight into the lathe for pressing Vinyl) Maybe 1-2dB less around 4kHz. Love the Drums. Cheers, Oli

AlanMcLarenProject replied 6th Jun 2024 - 2 years ago

Thanks mate! Glad to hear you like it. Mix and mastering is home-made, trying to learn by myself, so still a lot to improve :)

on Yeah No Maybe by TallPine

I like it alot. Good vibes and feelings and with the right singing and lyrics it would feel complete. One thing to mention is, that you need to be careful about the levels. It does sound distorted on my PC. Not a problem when you level down to -3db. We are usually not looking for the loudest stuff here :-)

TallPine replied 4th Jun 2024 - 2 years ago

Hey VintageNights, I'm pleased to hear you're enjoying it. Appreciate the feedback. I'll look into adjusting the levels to enhance the experience.

Hey, you did a good job with letting the voice being the center of the song. Maybe a bit of variation here and there could benefit the music but that's all and just my opinion. Please continue :-)

"a sound you never knew existed" Well I am from the Generation created that sound :-). Would love to play it at Loveparade 1999. But you did a good job in recreating that sound. So please more of that ..

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it! You must have some amazing memories of those times. Loveparade 1999 was such an iconic event in the electronic music scene. Keep dancing and keep the vibes alive!

on Disco Boo by EricMilligan

Very interesting what you can do with modern AI generated Voice. I think you have done a very good job. Not 70s. Disco Style but a very nice groove and feeling to it. Cheers, Oli

EricMilligan replied 6th May 2024 - 2 years ago

Hi, Oli! Yes, isn't exactly 70's. I tried, but didn't quite hit the mark. The vocal actually isn't really AI. Synth V is just a very sophisticated sampler VST. Needs midi input or drawing in the notes to establish the melody line. Lyrics are inputted by the user, not AI generated, It is quite different from all those AI voice things that are out there now. The lyrics for this track would probably have been lot better if done by AI. Ha!

I just checked your "influences" listed in your profile. We share many of the same ones, including Enigma. But, there are some I don't know and will check them out.

on industrial complex 1 by bringerofDOOM

I like this kind of experimental music. A bit like in the 60s when they made all the loops with Tape machines. But where on earth is the Adult content? Not that I was missing something. :-)

bringerofDOOM replied 9th Apr 2024 - 2 years ago

I think I checked that box accidentally, thanks for letting me know. Yeah, the polyrhythm stuff is loosely inspired by those types of concepts ("it's gone rain"). I had to use times signature that were factors of 60 to get all the FL Studio time increments to line up on a grid.

Thanks for listening and commenting.
