Must of mixed up my last comment with another track I was reviewing. Apologies. Still pretty nice track. Still kind of smooth too. Good piano breakdown, main synth has a great groove. peace

Oh was it that percussion like sound then? That sounds like a vent..hmm I actually bought a gameboy sp a while ago cuz I still had my gba games. Including Metroid Fusion. But for some reason it is the ONLY game that doesn't have my last original save file. Which most gba games should have. But luckily I do have my emulator on my dell. I have a controller too lol By the time you get the screw attack though you are basically invincible. It's awesome lol Nice use of the sample once again

on That Magical Place by StaticNomad
Listening/review spree, you are officially customer #1558920. Idk, anyways least I know with you and a handful of others I'll always get something quality and pretty interesting to listen to. Nice ethnic sounding instruments used, I hear that in many of your tracks.

You incorporate it well. Steady drumming but alot of minor details added into the mix that switches the gears up. 2:52 Nice bango like instrument, the delay/reverb afterwards is pretty nice.

I'm a reverb/delay addict so I tend to think sometimes reverb/delay makes the track sound better. I used to seriously think this before I knew anything about anything. 3:43 dig this double time drumming and nicely spaced/gated out and open vocal in the background. Perhaps a bit of influence from me? ha no I'm not that good. I'm an average artist at best, maybe I'm just too modest.

Anywaysssss, wow this took a bit of time to review. As most of your tracks do based on the length of them alone. Perhaps my Mecha EP will interest you further when it is complete, as the final track I make for it I'm going to try to make one of my longest tracks ever. Maybe 15min.

Can't upload that on the loop though, the quality would be just horrible. EP will have all the best versions of my tracks though. (Which I will make a thread about) I hope you will listen in on this EP when I'm finished.

The tracks I've uploaded so far are mere childplay to the other tracks planned. Excellent work on this production though Static, could of used this do my homework to a while back lol. Top stuff. peace

Hello.

Yes, I do have quite a few ethnic and exotic instruments in my tracks. Or sometimes I play guitar or banjo in an eastern style. Flute is the main exotic, ethnic in this one, as can be heard on 1:00.

"2:52 Nice bango like instrument"

That's one of my two resonator guitars. No banjo in this track. My other resonator guitar comes in on 3:33 for the "dual slide resonator solo", as listed in the track description.

"Nice bango like instrument, the delay/reverb afterwards is pretty nice."

Not sure which delay/reverb you mean. After what? Maybe it's on 3:12 where I switch to a heavier drumkit with open hat and the add reverb to that slide guitar part to make it bigger and better.

"I tend to think sometimes reverb/delay makes the track sound better"

Oh, I think that a lot. Delay is easily my favourite ever effect. A magical thing that almost is musi itself as it offers so much movement and enhances most playing. Distortion is probably my second favourite. Totally different but really provides some serious balls and grit and power to most things.

"nicely spaced/gated out and open vocal in the background."

No vocals in the track. Maybe you're hearing the delay tail of the slide guitar fading away starting on 3:52.

"Perhaps a bit of influence from me?"

Not sure exactly what you mean or what sound or technique of yours might have influenced me. But I suspect the answer is no.

"wow this took a bit of time to review."

Yes, you've written quite a bit!

I will check out your Mecha EP when you let me/us hear it.

Speaking of 15 min tracks, here's a truly wonderful one from Underworld.

on humans running on solar power part I and II by oldschoolfrosty
Really digging the grittyness of the guitar after the 1:56 mark. Real nice groove on this one too. Could be a tad louder but that's just me. Otherwise, great tune here. jamming. peace

Definitely has that old school flavor as you mention in your reply to James. Digging it. Piano is my fav instrument so that's always a plus with me. Not sure what buzzsaw is, I'm sure that's discussed in the link you provide for the interview. Thought provoking track man, good work. peace

Great comp here Vega. Sounding pro with the guitar playing, drums have a nice light mix to them. But that makes them alot more enjoyable. At least for me, clean mix too. Jamming, reminds me of the tunes we had playing on my intern a while back. Nice one man, peace

Thanks for taking the time to give it a listen and comment bro. Always appreciative of the support. This really was pretty much a jam. I remember I had just smoked a big fat bowl of some Kush and I was feeling pretty good. The whole lead was done in one take after the bowl. Your kind words of support mean a lot. Thanks again.

So, digging the second half the track. Dope. The vocals are a nice blend as well. The title of the track is pretty accurate too. I kind of hear where Johnny is coming from with the offkey business but it sounds good on my end man. Great work on this, just kind of ended suddenly though. peace

on Greatness by StylesBM
Sick production bro, I actually gotta beat by the same name. Had it on my soundcloud but took it down because it wasn't getting no love. I guess it's all on you and the work you put in at the end of the day though. And then just keep it consistent. Quality but consistent. It's kind of what I'm trying to do now with my producing but it's pretty hard. I'm a track starting fanatic though and I have probably too many unfinished tracks in the vault. Anyways nice piano loop from MINOR, he has quality loops for real for real. Him and a list of others on here have a prolific nature to their work that I want to achieve one day. Once again, dope beat. Love the choirs and dark synths. Knocking, peace.

Hey Man good to hear from you, thx for stopping by. In way the most work I did on this beat was finding out how the sounds work together and looping them accordingly. I love the hell out of the synths so there nothing more I could do but keep it consistent. Dude I feel you man I don't how people come up with beautiful melodies like these, I tired but failed A LOT. Same man I got over 25 unfinished tracks just don't know what to do with them. Keep it up some day you will get the hang of it, I can't wait to listen to it. See you Than, THANK YOU for coming!

on Disko Muzik by RenzWilde
You might as well have put it in the "disco" genre with a title like that. I've been drinking a bit and listening to music recently, something i don't usually do. I smoke more than i drink and with drinking it kind of delays the music a bit. I'm sure it only sounds like this because I'm a bit tipsy, just sounds spaced out. I like your other track much more because it really sounded like it could of been on SSX 3. But this one has a well done groove, can definitely dance to it. Alright lemme stop this review here before I start talking nonsense. Great work bro, like the guitar like riff later on too. peace

on Sick Of The Police - KaCajun Remix by KaCajun
Wow, pigs just can't stop over abusing their authority. I'm just now reading up on this story, just saw another member "Neuro" mention and make a track in tribute. I've also heard Robin Williams (actor/comedian) committed suicide. I dunno if you dig him much but anyone who makes me laugh doesn't deserve to die like that. Especially Michael brown..I haven't been beat or anything by police. But I've been profiled numerous times, fuked up news man. The beat choice is kind of confusing but the lyrics are coming from a real place. It's crazy times out here man...I'm just waiting on the revolution. Idk exactly where your from in the US but it's pretty bad in the Chi too. This country just isn't what it used to be...nice track though bro. peace

on Angel and a Demon by MOONLYTE
Very nice production, really takes off on the second half. After the 4:00 mark the drums are lil loud, maybe too much compression? I would look into that, all the other elements are being overshadowed by that. There kind of muddy in the intro too. Other than those suggestions, I liked the arrangement of the track and the instrument choice. Epic choir. Keep working, peace
