Sick work man, agree with everyone else. Really stellar work, I'ma be sure to bring my A++ game when I finish my latest track. Sick work with the drums and sound in general. I'll be listening to your track and then this later on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WwiOoTQiPo True dnb right here, can only imagine what a 320 would sound like. Excellent production, peace
So are you really 11 years old? Pretty nice stuff I've heard uploaded from you. Keep it up, you already have great talent. I like the steady beat and vocals to this, really relaxing. peace
Vapor like synths in this track. Sounds perfect for a wipeout sort of soundtrack or any of the many racing games I like. I have a deep house track started that I think might turn out pretty well. Is deep house usually around 6 minutes? Sick production man, peace
hey bro, unfortunately I am pretty poorly versed on the conventions of deep house and chillout. I just went with a pretty standard 2-break track structure and at 123 bpm it turned out around 6 minutes long. Thanks for the listen, good luck with your track. I'll keep my eye out for it.
Sort of a dark ambient dnb track. I've tried to make a ambient dnb track a while back but it seems you beat me to it. This sounds like it's at a low bitrate or the mix could just use a bit more punch. Instruments are still well distinguished however. Those echoing synths and that electrifying reece synth is nice. Mystical sounding production. The vox is a nice touch. Funny at times. Keep em coming, peace
Thank you for your comments. Sadly all the original recordings got destroyed so I can't go back and remaster them. Glad you enjoyed it and I look forward to your ambient dub track. Give me a nudge when you've created one. I've had a listen to some of your material and liked it. I'll definitely be revisiting your page. Rock on :)
This is..almost a lil too much irony. I watched a video last night that informed me of what the last episode of "Tom & Jerry" was. Not sure if 100 percent true because I haven't watched the last episode. It showed clips though. I dunno if you've ever watched it but I don't think you necessarily have to like cartoons to have seen this show before. Anyways, I didn't know the last episode was about both of them eventually killing themselves over cheating girlfriends. Their suicide was waiting for the train on the train tracks...eerie. This track almost fits that episode in a way. Creative use of fx. Synths are nicely done. Can hear this in Banjo Kazooie even too. Great collab between Spiv and Phatkatz. Definitely a cinematic production. peace
I remember Tom & Jerry but that is a bizarre thing to do for a last episode in a cartoon. I don't know Banjo Kazooie. thanks for the positive comments on the track. really appreciate it.
It would be hard to explain my ideas to you. But idk you say this is an aggressive track. I would emphasize that more, think of something that makes you really angry. The breakdown that starts at 1:55 is the most aggressive part of the song.
Adding some distortion (if there isn't already) to the lead synth could add more to it. I had a couple aggressive tracks I could of used as an example but I feel they aren't good enough at the moment. That's why I cleared my catalog, least on here.
The ambience at 4:42 could build into maybe a change of synth and maybe a darker tone. Some industrial type of fx might fit well in this. But yea, let me know what you think of my suggestions. A buddy of mine told me a while ago "sometimes you gotta let a song rock out." I think the track is nice for what it is now. Not too repetitive and gets the job done.
It depends how far you wanna go with it, tweaking the lead synth. Maybe play it differently every minute or so, adding elaborate fills, panning effects, various automation, maybe even automate the tempo and change the beat up etc etc. I've changed the tempo to a track before. The key is to making it work with the overall track. Instead of just adding too much and it all becomes redundant.
I've noticed I've been doing that with some of my latest productions. Hmm maybe less is more but put "extreme" focus on a couple of main instruments you think stand out the most and go all out with it. Alright, that was longer than I thought. Hope that helps! peace
For some reason this reminds me of Gex: Enter the Gecko. lol Don't ask why. Definitely insane sounding, I'm no stranger to insane type of tracks though. Aphex Twin is probably the most insane artist I've heard at least in the electronic department. Listen and watch the "come to daddy" video. It's flippin crazy. Over the top is good sometimes I think. It can grow into something more but all depends on what your going for. Interesting arrangement and great effects/buildups. Nice, peace
Thanks for your review Gramo. Yes, some downbeat-style samples used for the drums here, not really a tech kits. This is my first attempt to the genre - really glad you liked it! Best, Alex
Nice soft subtle feel to this. Smooth like texture to it, relaxing. Reminds me a hint of some songs on the .Hack game soundtracks. Great collabo. Very nice piano. Digz it, peace
How many other people do what? Typing while listening? Well, what I mean is this. I'll listen to a track and review as I go basically. So if I say something like "I really dug the part at the 1:00 min mark" I was most likely listening to that part as I typed it. Most others tend to finish a track and then review or comment.
That bass is just monster. Sounds like you use the "I am thor" patch from reason? I've tried to make a song out of that but can't really seem to follow it up with anything. Good work here, peace
I like the sway of the string like instruments. Reminds me a bit of Digital Mystikz. That's a good thing. I think the wobble bass could have a bit more variation or maybe not as high pitched. But it definitely fits the title. Good production. peace
Sounds pretty special. I really like the strings and pad, dreamy. I like the subtle feel to it as well. Music like this should be soft, easier and more pleasant on the ears. Chilled production, dig the hi hats too. peace
Nice use of Patricia's vocals. Kind of more jazz than reggae, alot of elements missing. But who am I to say, I'm not too big on genres anyways. Good feel good song! Positive vibes are always nice, peace
I like the simplicity to it. The bass kind of makes it a lil dubstep too. Piano is nice. Love piano, good work here. I would add more to it though. peace
yeh MOST samples are repetitive cause that it was a sample is, not much i could come up with to do with this, so i did this hoping someone else could finish it thats all
I don't think it's that over done, does seem a bit out of place. Like the synths in this one. Main lead vocals could have a bit more reverb to them but that's just my preference. I'm a reverb/delay junkie. Anyways good work here, keep it going. peace
Odot, we must have you uploading some more grime tunes on here bro. Finally made me some grime, just uploaded it today. But yea this one knocks! I agree with Spiv about the bass, center that bass and it fill the rest of the track. Great focus and steady pace to this. Dig the bells. Has a epic feel. Idk if you've watched a movie called Anuvahood but I've been watching alot lately for some reason and it made me make a grime beat lol Does have some sick tunes on the soundtrack. But yea man, sick production! peace
Really digging this intro, full of mystery. Typing while I'm listening here. Really love the low nature of the drums, it lacks impact but plays in the back pretty nice. Strings are a plus. I really love classical music as well so strings and piano almost resonate with me instantly. The brass is really well incorporated too. Nice transitions in this one, has a great groove. Hope to see it grow with comments and listens. Great production! peace
Agree with the others, real nice first attempt! I gotta make me some more upbeat stuff sometimes. If you didn't place high up for this competition then something is wrong with the judges. Excellent production. peace
I did fav this track when I heard it, thought I'd comment seeing it on the featured section. REAL oldschool track for this site. 07? Ha those were some interesting times for me. But yea really chilled vapor like intro, that guitar combination with the pad is heavenly. Liquified and chilled to the tea. Smooth one. peace

I really appreciate the feedback on these types of songs from people who listen to classical music, because I'm not the greatest at it.
It took awhile to incorporate everything together, I thought it came out quite nicely, as well.
Again thank you. FT
