A little short for pop plus I also think you probably need to add some vocals. I like this though, and I thought it was very well constructed, there was something a little trancey about it too.
Pretty impressive for a first attempt at a genre. I really liked the intro and it's good that you've got plenty of changes to keep the track interesting.
I think the fact that everything is played live really adds to it, and you haven't heard me sing, so I wouldn't be so quick to condemn yourself for singing poorly, because you sound fine to me.
I like this a lot.
Thanks RIF! I think I feel another Christian session coming on soon! I'm the worship leader at a new church and have yet to sing 1 month into it. :7(
I can BS my way through the guitar...but singing...uuuhhhggg! nErVoUs!
I recently hurt myself so no moshing for me but I believe you when you say you can mosh to this. I really like the chuggy riff. Good Stuff. (Virtual moshing)
I really don't mind the minimal approach. I think the lack of real melody actually adds to the attitude of the rap. Also I think you give yourself plenty of options for either developing the track more yourself or even allowing someone else to collaborate with you and add more elements.
Yea I rap. This track isnt done yet really. Could use some more layers and a bridge. Im just not very good at producing yet so.. I do what I can. I would love to get with a solid producer to collaborate on a larger project though.
I think the organ-synth that you've used adds lightness to the track so I don't think it's too dark. I don't know if it would work, but you could try harmonising the monks in places.
I enjoyed listening. :)
Hey I just read your description and I'm glad I did because I was about to say that the dissonance in the vocals was a little bit hit and miss. I think if you tighten up what needs to be tightened you will have a pretty good track here. I can hear where you're trying to take it but you're not quite there yet.
Ambient really is the right choice for this and I really enjoyed the combination of all the instruments that you used.
It does need to be a bit longer though, my only real criticism.
I'm in the mood for a sad piano song, and is this you playing?
I like your lyrics a lot and I think you have potential in your voice, but your recording equipment doesn't sound too good because I can hear a lot of distortion and static from a bad connection or something.
Do you record your vocals separately?
Off the top of my head I think you should think about adding some strings if you can to up the emotional currency of this.
You've definitely got the hardcore sound right. I have to say that the genre is not my personal taste but I do think you've put together a really catchy track. Well done.
Personally I would like to hear you vocals a little more forward in the mix because it felt like they were getting lost in the guitars. Other than that I liked your singing and what you have started with this song.
... LOL.. You're right dear.. Well.. Somehow I had a nice feeling about this this time, cause my voice often is higher in sound than the loops.. But in fact I did turn up the volume on voice.. But maybe I have to make it higher..
Maybe I absorbed the previous reviewer's comments because I was going to say that this would sound wicked with some vocals on and Usher was the artist I was going to suggest lol.
Anyway a nice track. I like the combination of electronic and RnB.

This has definitely got some nice attitude it would be good to hear someone spitting on it.
Sometimes it's better if you check out other artists and see if they want to collab.
