damn that bass is solid. i like the bounce it has. i agree the open hats are a little outta place, but i would suggest switchin the sound of em to a 808 or 909 ride hit with a little bit of auto pan. good first hip hop track man, hope you had fun makin it and you gonna make more.
OMG!(bastage, made me use caps lol) you guys did a awesome job on this. that guitar is...wow! and the drums...so good. the vocals go surprisingly well with this. love that sax towards the end. really, my hat is off.
Thanks Kazukun... I appreciate that. Alivid is a savior when I asked him if he would drop some guitar on this for me. And scoring that pella was perfect. I had already started the track then just for sh?ts and giggles I ran the pella at the same time and it was fittin pretty good so I went with it. I was surprised too... Appreciate the review brutha... I listened to yours but I didn't have time to review it. I'll go hit it up today... Blume:)
this has potential. the piano and the drums sound like they were made for each other. good job man, throw a bass and some strings on this and finish it up.
the vocals get washed out at times, and the reverb on em makes it hard to hear what is being said. but you have a really good song here man. i like the sparseness, i think it helps move the song along at a relaxing pace. nice and uncluttered. good use of samples too, im gonna have to check out this sound bible. good job man.
Soundbible is very cool for free sound effects and such... thanks for the comment on the vocals. I ended up reducing the vocals over all in favor of a nice backwards piano loop, but I think I pulled most of the loops that got washed... Thanks though mastering is something I really need to work on.
hahaha fun with whippets!!! good description, i can defiantly hear it in this song. the panning on the hihats is gold. good job man keep up the good work.
thanx for your great review, ill come by your way for a listen soon, im glad you got the head wobbleness of it all. over hear in perth doing nO2 is called "nanging" because it makes your head go "nang-a-nang-a-nang"etc and we call whipped cream bulbs "nangs" hence the title nangulator. ...........!1X1!
dude awesome. its so smooth and mellow, and that solo at the ends just adds to the awesomeness. good lyrics to, i loled a little. good job man, really like the song.
i like this track. really nice sound you got goin on. i like the pianos, real classy sound. and that nylon guitar/synt or whatever that goes into the swell, that is really cool. it reminds me of a sade song. good job dude.
dude blunts i can dig it. its got a little calypso thrown in, and the synths and pads do sound good. some steel drums on it would sound awesome. good job so far man.
thanks alot! always good to hear from u :) i will have to check calypso out, never heard it..well i might have but dont know the name. this is one i hope to finish
the pianos are very nice. very light. and the change up around 2 mins is like the dark, then the choir pads and the piano come back again to end it. this song has a positive sound. very uplifting, like things are gonna get better. good job on this one tooth. and gratz on getting out of your slump.
the national guard now assists the police in new york city under the guise of fighting the war on drugs and the polish army was doing counter terrorism drills with the illinois state police. strange strange things happening...
its funny, i was just thinkin the other day if there was a anti-establishment rapper on here. really nice song man. the drums are classic. one small problem, your vocals are really muddy, and you need a pop guard or a sock over your mic. keep up the good work helruna.
Thanks kazukun for the feedback! I'm not really anti-establishment 'I call myself a realist' :-p. The idea was to make a song which could be thought to be live, so I kept the popping in. I'm working on another demo this time better production :-D
lol it does sound like its from the 80s. it reminds me of the music playing when sarah conners ran into the night club to run from the terminator, or thats the first thing that comes to mind. i like it, sounds cool, and the effects on the vocals are nice. what did oyu use to get that nice echo on em?
