Honestly, haven't been into EDM much, but nice job on the mix. Wav form is nice and fuzzy on the top and bottom, I can hear each part even though it is layered. Lots of times it's hard to tell what is going on with EDM and the Wav form is a black brick. This was much more stereo friendly and doesn't try to tear up my ears when I crank it. Great job.
Great track. I studies some Turkish scales and modes a while back, to get out of my comfort zone (was sick of most popular music for a while). Hearing creative things from other parts of the world other than my own is one of the main reasons I'm on this site. Nice job for just learning, keep it up.
Is the frequency wash caused by the compression (probably on the master) a stylistic choice? I hear it quite a bit and try to avoid a solid looking wav in my mixes. Sounds great, just curious.
I've been struggling with vocals and started doubling them and adding comp/eq/reverb or delay, and possibly distortion. Seems to help a lot, not sure if that will help you or not, this mix sounds great to me.
If is VATs I'm assuming you had to write MIDI into your DAW or in to a score. Message me with the details and I may be able to get you guitar tracks, though that defeats the purpose of working with VSTs. Up to you, nice work once again.
You are the first and the only one here to recognize my favourite part in this: my guitar.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for listening till the end.
Michael
Working with VSTs like this has caused you to become a technical death metal composer, which I can imagine would be very difficult. The VSTs sound great, but sometimes they sound more like badass violins. I think it's full of great ideas.
If you want some real guitars just message me, I could play all of those parts and help with mastering for fun. It would be good practice.
Thank you. I'm a big fan of Major 7 and Minor 7 chords as well as half steps. I like their versatility. I'm fairly confident most of my tracks on here have either M7 or m7 at some point.
Thank you. I've heard it before, but I always appreciate it. I see Porcupine Tree as the golden standard. I won't make anything that good, but I'm going to try.
Thanks, man. There was a time when you did hear more rock and metal here. But, those days are long gone. As far as the 8 minutes...that's a short track for Doom Metal, my friend!

I'll definitely use your skillset if you're willing to go through all that to help a guy out. :) Same to you for orchestral stuff.
