nice, love the acid aspect and the smooth vibe of the track. I agree with everyone your mastering is really good, I mean just so smooth and loud. good work on that one, really something to be proud of.

on Progressive House by djaurum
soundin pretty cool man, only tip i can think of is that it is a little muddy and you may want to isolate frequencies a little bit more. reminds me of my track hott box in a way, i have the same sort of issue with muddy areas, i think it's mainly too much sitting on the low end, but this is cool and i totally see what your going for.

on Technique Track Got to have House (GGB) by Beatkutz
checked out your pictures and it looks good. keep in mind every sound will react different to eq so don't be afraid to stray slightly from my advice, every sound will have it's sweet spots but what you've done looks good and it is sounding Much better. the new percussion is cool too... using that loop on every other bar as you have is good but once it reaches 1 minute i would put it on every bar to groove the melody a bit harder before it changes.... i think you have it on every bar for the last couple but i would try starting that trend at the one minute area. look forward to hearing more.

alright :) It starts around one minute now. I think I'm actually drowning my lead with the low bass, I'm not really sure how to get around that.. I'll try fixing that, and then I'll try moving on with a new track :D

Thanks for helping us out :)

on Technique Track Got to have House (GGB) by Beatkutz
i listened again twice the last couple days cause you have good ideas and i want to help you out and it's sounding nicer. i agree with stina that you could make a whole new song out of the lead synth and turn the opening sounds into a much more straight forward house track... at the same time i know how easy and tempting it is to beef everything up and morph the sounds and progress as the track goes. i just recently started having the patience to assemble a real house track but you've come far enough that you shouldn't eliminate the lead sound.the only difference will be a slight genre change which is irrelevant.... notes: the bass seems to move in a rotary way? not sure if my ears are playing tricks but i might hold back on that a little and work eq a bit more... one good way is bring up the low end where it starts to resonate but not go crazy, and bring up the very high end slightly with a faded mid/high range to make it less muffled and more distinct in the mix. then you can lower the volume a touch and still hear it nicely and get the bass resonance which will clean it up a bit. the lead could get a touch more mid range (maybe 2-3k area) to beef it up... i think it may have been heavier last time i listened. i would still milk the beginning longer, while you have gone a more progressive direction the foundation is still house and it needs a little more time. Hope this helps this is by far the longest review i've ever written haha sorry for ranting!

Wow, thank you so much for helping me out, really appreciate it :) I'll include two screenshots, the first is of the bass, second is the bass"lead". Please tell if this was what you meant :)

I also included some drums from the african kit, and prolonged the intro a bit, don't know if that's enough though..

Thank you again, hope I'll hear more from you :)

Nice you captured a blend of old and new school house sounds. I don't care for the octave up synth in the last 10 seconds but the acid sound at the beginning between 15 and 39 is nice and should go longer, maybe with percussion or some other sound changing over top. don't be afraid to let something play out for a while, that's what house music is great for. that is my advice. hope this helps.

Beatkutz replied Unknown
Agree on the octave up synth, wasn't going to be there originally :)
Thank you for your advice, it really helped. I just updated this track now, and I'll do it again making the acid sound longer and mixing it with some percussion. In this update I haven't done that, but I made it longer, sidechained the "lead-bass" and made a short bass-sample at the start, which I'm actually not sure if I like or not :/ Thank you for reviewing, it's great to hear other peoples opinions :)

This track is awesome. It has an early Chicago House feel to it, just my style. Love the percussion and the hooks. Glad to hear there is some house left in house music.

sweet track percussion is cool and i like most of the bass lines, i also like the bit of ambience thrown in. when the bass slides down a few steps it sounds bad ass, really nice drops. overall a good track.

on Lose Control by Atomicrecordings
I agree with apieceoftofu it is clean. i also agree it's bit repetitive and you could beef up the synth a touch but production was real nice, good transitions and overall drive to the song. i don't care for this style but i enjoyed your track, so good work.

on You Keep The Bass by DeepMan
sounds pretty good but the kick could be brought up and it seems to favor the right speaker. try centering the kick and the distorted synth a little more, maybe turning up the kick and turning down the lead synth a touch. i think it will fill out the track nicer. percussion is cool and so are the little builds here and there. good start, keep it up.

First of all thanks for listening and reviewing this. I just checked my original project file, kick is in the center, only part of the drum loop which is in the right is snare. Anyways thanks a lot for taking time and also for your other suggestions and advice. Much appreciated.

on Jazzy Jazz by SonicKDT
as c_man said very clean. sounds are great, love the jazzy chords, creates a nice groove with the fast beats and mellow melodies. The bass felt a bit like it came out of nowhere but it was still good. great track overall, production is just so nice.

i'm not a hip hop kind of guy but i checked your beat out and it's not too bad. it needs some breaks tho, the vocal line never takes a break to let the rest of the song come in. try adding some measures between sections of vocal to let the song fall into place.

nice intro, the off time notes are nice and i like the square wave sound a lot, nice build and transition into the kick and clap. the rest of the song is good too, some very pretty sounds and nice transitions all the way through, you clearly worked hard on this track. i'll favorite and listen again later.

the brass sounds real nice and the whole vibe is very peaceful. sounds well mastered too, a good overall track. these sounds could be real nice in a mellow house track as well. remix? haha just a suggestion but a great track you've come up with none the less.

wow...what a nice review, thx man. chill out is just an experimental playground for me. trance is still my love. the brass sounds are the point of sucess/no sucess... if you love brass you will have an good feeling... before i started to share, my first listeners hated brass sounds, so they said i had to delete the whole track, but i decided to share it and hear (perhaps !?!) better reviews.... peace micha

this track was fun to listen to. i'm not normally a trance kind of guy but i've been getting sucked into it a bit by songs like this. i like the variance of synth sounds you use and your percussion is cool too. unfortunately i am using horrible speakers because i'm moving and have stuff everywhere. when i leave work tonight i will plug in my nicest headphones and give it a proper listen.

I agree that you need some good speakers or headphones to hear the beauty of a song.
