Catchy little number, like it a lot. Def 80's new wave feel like jfw stated.
I'd sure like a shot at a bass line if you would like to work with me!!
Review Update:
I downloaded the song and I'll figure something out. How do you want me to send you the track? And what format, .mp3, .wav...?
How would you like to do some guitar work on a country/swing song I working on right now. Drums, bass, vox and an acoustic track is done, just needs some guitars and finishing touches. I could post it as is I suppose?
Thanks,
Very, very cool and interesting song. Like all the ddifferent sounds on this one. Haven't hearm much didgeredoo on this site. I've been waiting a month for my friend who plays the didgeredoo to lay down some tracks for me on a song that is finished.
It was the didgeridoo that got me up on a stage and performing in `92. I couldn't imagine making a track about "World Music" and the connections between all traditions without bringing the didgeridoo into it. Still, my favorite moment in this track is when everything drops and the Egyptian fiddles float in. Thanks for the review and encouraging words!
Really nice song, kept me interested straight thru. I agree with eshar about the drums but that's an easy mix fix. Hope you work on this some more because I really enjoyed it.
Very "Epic" sounding song. Did John Williams help you out because this is high quality movie soundtrack stuff.haha, just kidding(about the J.W.reference only)!!
The titles to your songs are great! What a number you got here. It's like an industrialized jungle with mechanical animals all walking in sync. Interesting stuff!
My favorite version of this song! The mix is real sweet, everything is right out front. It really makes a difference, the vox and guitar have a nice seperation and I love that guitar sound. I GOTTA BUY ME ONE OF THOSE RIVIERAS!!!!
The chorus on my recording software is a very heavily used effect in Humpland. I'll use it to seperate or widen the stereo field of what I'm recording rather than give the track that swirly, chorusy sound. I use it a lot when I record my acoustic. It really fattens the sound and when you add a bit of reverb....that's what I'm talking about, hahahah!!

There is a part in the lead that I'm not too sure about, it might clash a bit with your lead. Take a listen and see what you think.
I think, overall, the track works with the song well. It was fun working it out.
