Hey that was super unique, I really enjoyed that, just keep doing what you're doing is all I have to say to that, I just uploaded a track called not enjoying the ride, check it out if u get the chance. Good track, I thought it was awesome.
That was a really nice mix Henry, have you ever looked into putting your music up for sync placement? This was so chill I felt like it would fit perfect in videogame like a megaman or something, don't take that the wrong way, that's a good thing, mega man has good music. I like to produce edm/electronic music too so I have looked into it a bit myself, that's why I ask.
English is not my language, so I don't understand what you mean by "so chill", sorry.
As for videogames, I never thought about it (and especially for this track, which consists of pre-recorded and subsequently assembled samples), as I never (yet) ever thought of submit my demos to some record company . This is because I never studied music, I can't play any instrument and I would consider offensive to all those who, instead, have studied music with great difficulty, creeping into the world of professionals (until I have learned to play at least one instrument ).
At the moment my job is another, I prefer to think of my music as a pure and simple hobby, far from market logic, sales numbers and various successes. I am satisfied that I like it mainly, and then to the listener. (It also applies to other types of professional use, soundtrack for video games, background music with youtube style, etc.).
In any case, the advice I give you is that you have to produce music that you like, regardless of the genre, believe in what you do even if it will remain a pearl that you only know, don't reason based on logics you are not (I guess) directly involved. You would just end up being a bad copy of something you've already heard. You will have to work a lot on the sensations that your music must transmit (especially to you), listen to and listen to millions of times the composition and never, never, never be in a hurry to release. I made this mistake in the past, realizing that I could do a lot better and that, very often, many good songs are underestimated because of details that are not taken care of.
Work on your feelings when you make music: if you put your soul into it, even the listener will realize it and appreciate it, believe me.
I thought the vocals were fine because they were unique, I find heavier tracks to always be more difficult to mix and master all around the board, they always sound fine to me though I grew up listening to some pretty heavy stuff that sounded like someone recorded it live with a talkboy lol I will just pretend i am going for that bootleg sound.
Heavier tracks are tougher because you need the Drums to stand out and it is easy to wash them out with all the heavy guitars. Plus generally, you need those drums to be way busier than other genres. It is a tough balancing act from a mixing standpoint. I still suck at the drums part big time in most tracks. I am too lazy to have them spread out over 16 or more tracks where you can tweak individual drums on the kit. I always just use a stereo approach. It is way easier but lacking in punch.
I am a huge metal fan, I like your track, it sounded great, all the volumes and everything seemed good to me, as someone else said it was different but in a good enjoyable way. I try to do metal songs occasionally, I have one really crazy metal song rough copy done, I would like to know what other fellow metalheads think of it when I post it, I could let you know when it goes up if you would be interested.
Thanks for the feedback. I would definitely give it a listen. The hardest thing for me with Metal Tracks is getting the right vocal sound. I can't really do the low growly type vocals as it is not in my range. I use a plug in to lower the vocals to a lower octave. I was trying for a Wayne Static type vocal but just couldn't get it. I settled with this.
Always like to return the love, I liked this track Henry, I'm not huge on the pop music so it's not really my genre of choice but I did enjoy this one. Your music sounds different and I appreciate that as I am the same way.
I can't do nothing else than thank you sincerely, I always thought that this track deserved more attention and more luck than it had. It is so strange that in 2019 it had more plays than in the previous three years! Even your style is not among my favorites, but it is right that the right attention is also paid to the ideas of others, so sometimes we can jump out of the usual schemes!
Haha that's awesome man, I didn't even know that's what you meant that you got lyrics on this, sounds great, I just stopped by to return the favor of leaving feedback and got this surprise. Great job.
This is fire, sounds awesome together i have done that before too put different tracks together i have a song that's a macmiller beat with tupac lyrics and it turned out dope. Great track you made here.
It sounds good, I like it, it's always good to venture into genres that you aren't too familiar with making. As far as feedback and this is just personal taste as there is nothing wrong with how it is, I would have went with way faster hats.
