I actually really like this track. It's got a spooky, darkwave ambient kinda thing going on. Like a sound track from a movie about space alien, brain eating zombies. Naturally I'm gonna love that.
Got some 808s & traps goin with some high frequency synth. After the break the high frequency gated synth that comes & goes made me think about insects. All & all I'd say this track'll stick in yer head like your favorite dirty picture. Great work.
It's got an evil soundtrack thing going on. Like I can picture some mad scientist's minions sabotaging an airplane or something. So that's really cool.
For some reason it reminds me of peristalsis. That's what you hear when you listen to someone's GI track with a stethoscope. I actually rather liked this, so obviously I don't mean peristalsis in a bad way. I was an RN before I was disabled, so I'm always thinking about medical shit. Nurses do that. THis has a great kind of slightly sinister, low vibe kinda feel. Fuck, I'll even download it. So great job.
Definitely got a rocky, country blues thing going on. Great live guitar take too. Play it with a live band in the right kind of bar & the audience would love it. This is a very clean, professional sounding track. Great job.
Someone on youtube did a professional video for it filmed in L.A. where they were able to digitally remove all the vehicles on the highways and streets while people skateboarded down empty once busy roads. But the guy took it down, bummer.
Appreciate the comments, sorry for the late response.
The intro kinda reminded me of art of noise or Enigma. It's nice to hear someone who swears as much as I do in the lyric. This had a smooth, edgy kinda thing going on. Great job.
Be like all jazzy chill & shit. You did a fantastic job on the cymbol & hate effect. If I tried that it would sound like bees attacking a vacuum cleaner. Great horn section too. THis could be on the smooth jazz station. Like smoke a bown with the old stoners & stare at the refrigerator kinda vibe. Fantastic work.
Bassy & bellsy man. There's a big empty space in the middle of this track visual wise but the music keeps playing. My computer's probably having a siezure. This is a rather clean, professional sounding track. Great work.
Thank you. Sound choice really is one of the most important aspects if you're looking to get a real clean and polished sound. That middle space you sense is on purpose, I leave it for the artists voice and choice. If they want to overrule the groove it will allow for it or if they want to just sit in the track they can do that to. I try to paint an image as vivid as I can so the artist isn't concerned with the beat or structure as they try to decide what they want to do. You think I should start making it more obvious that these are beats for rappers? E.g. a more obvious label or name. Because I've had a few different people ask about the space I leave, which is intentional when I mix and master my beat, you can see it on my EQ and channel chains.. everything gets a boost at one point or another usually except the mid, it's usually flat line center or -2db or so.
Sounds something like Love & Rockets on the chorus. Love & Rockets were like the flipping chorus kings, so that's all kinds of groovy. Love the wooo wooo woos. Great work.
I haven't heard of Love and Rockets, but I'll definitely go check those guys out. But it always helps when people love the chorus, they have to listen to it more than once.
The woahs were fun to do. I think they really broaden the sound.
