sorry for the double post, i think if you just kinda hum along to the song and match the lyrics a bit you can find that lead synth. i was leaning toward some strings but i don't think that is the right path. some kind of muted triangle type of sound with a little reverb i think would compliment it nicely
no fr ty for the two cents, First time mixing with autotune software and im just having an absolute blast humming with my voice and some decay and reverb. Ill def give that a try still figuring out what I want to sound like. But for real man ty! i still need to learn a ton.
the one thing i noticed is there doesn't seem to be a lead synth. there is a very nice melodic sound going on but there should be a matching or overriding synth that is the main driver. i think it would add more emphasis on the lyrics giving them a lil bit more meaning. i.e. more epicness for the driving part of the track. hope this helps. all in all nice track dude.
clean, you need to get this setup back. you are killin it girl. better than i could do for sure. and those pipes, you threw your damn soul on the track. no lie one of the best vocals i've heard on this site. can't believe i haven't ran into you yet i've been on here for years now. glad we finally found each other. if you did decide to use one of my tracks i would be honored.
sorry bout the double post, i have those two songs over on the soundcloud page. (not a promo just letting you know where to find them if your interested in a listen)
What???!!! 4 real???? Since you made those two tracks you are worthy of knowing where the last piece to the triforce lies. My email is 4reah904@gmail.com oh wise one....and thanks for the kind words ima go and check them out.
dope, hella dope lol. battle toads or mega man? i dig the video game samples being remixed. i made two of them recently. one from rayman 2 (cave level) and another one from zelda (end boss fight). hope you make some more. can't wait to hear them.
man maybe this site has changed, i can't believe your track was slept on. sounds good, diggin the bass. the mix sounds clean and crisp too. added to my favorites.
cheers bud appreciate the feedback! i just do it for fun is nice to get noticed tho thanks. definitely learnt alot making this track i spent more time on the mixdown than it took to make the track
welcome to the club, what I did when I first started on here was to start using peoples uploaded loops, use them in your song. after you upload your song get the link and post it on the loops that you used. its a great way to start to get to know the community and find artists that share a similar taste in music. remember your not going to be a super star over night. it takes lots of practice and learning. hope to hear good things from you in the future!
I would toss another synth in the mix, maybe a high note type to lift it up a little more. and then use a variant of that synth for your hook section.
keep up the good work!
my man, great track. loved the intro. I hope its not lame to say it sounds like a deadmau5 track, because I like his music. when I click on a track that says its house this is what I want to hear.
lol yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. they had a choice, you drink my beer I play my music. they never said anything else about it again. back to the song, I'm digging that bass, deep and clean. the vibe too is nice and chill, its the type of track that you can lay some heavy/tragic/meaningful lyrics on. keep up the good work.
nice to see more people collaborating here on looperman. the few times I did it was a blast. I would say you are more committed to putting your all into a song when you collab with another artist. the whole "one upsmanship" deal comes into play. brings the best out of people
I could totally hear this being played on the radio, has more of a pop feel to it then hip hop, maybe that's just me. lyrics come across crisp. I would say you have a solid track on your hands. keep up the good work
great track, minor2go has some of the best piano loops on this site. I've used a couple myself. I need to start making songs again with only loops from users of this site. its always nice to show people their uploads are appreciated.
I couldn't help but sing that brothers Johnson song- get the funk up outta my face. it goes with this beat for sure. love me some funk. diggin this one right here.
planetjazzbass my man, great track. I remember when I first joined up on the ole looperman I came across your loops and was blown away on the quality and depth of them. I used a few in a handful of songs. Thanks for all the uploads, keep em coming!
Hey Hustle, thanks mate! so glad you liked the track (and some of my loops, man I've got to make some more of those, been a bit slack in that department lately)...thanks again for your encouragement mate!....cheers Dave :)
man at first i was like "what is this" it sounded different and weird. but not bad, and it grew on me, now I'm playing it pretty loud, sounds great and the bass line is wide and fat.
