on Darkslide (almost finished) by Djabel
Tracks rollin' bro. Love the diversity the elements man, you have quite the talent at keeping things interesting! Wish I could say the same for my tunes but I am really enjoying this. Breakdown is nice as promised by the description, however, I would have liked a bigger build up then release on that. Listeners know it's coming, but they don't know when...make it as suspenseful as you can. I can't talk much myself as I am trying to perfect that art myself. Tracks about to wrap up and hasn't gotten stale yet. Another banger from Abel himself. Like your style man! Hit me up whenever on MSN : jecarr33 @ gmail . com or on AIM: NVSuvME

Massive tune bro...big ups!

on Toxic by Dj4Real
Alright Toxic. I had a listen to the tune and I don't wanna come across as being harsh but please bear with me, I wanna see you improve. First off, this is listed as Drum and Bass but it doesn't seem so drum and bassy to me. One thing, your kick drum is sitting behind the rest of your elements. Try boosting your eq on those around 100hz to bring it out some or duck the rest around your kick drum hits. Remember its not always about adding to eq, reducing is equally important. A quick way to do this is to sidechain. Keep your snares poppy and snappy and have them on the 5th and the 13th step of your bar loop and play with your kicks around that pattern. Hats are essential so experiment with them and allow them to add to your groove. Your pads are sounding good and those bleeping noises would be much better sounding as reece. One of my biggest issues with tunes is structure. If you plan a structure and stick to it, then your tracks are much easier to sequence. With structure comes familiarity but will also open you up to play with some suspense for your listeners. Keep it interesting. I couldn't really hear a bass line at all and thats ESSENTIAL with DnB. Overall, I think you are off to a good start, but keep playing with it and you will find yourself just banging them out left and right. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED!!

I went in to this one thinking is going to be quite cheesy (I'm just being honest). However, I was pleasantly surprised! This is actually pretty legit. The break is nice! The reese sounds nice. I will admit I'm not a fan of the synth used on the melody but it doesnt ruin the track. I enjoyed the tune and I offer my thumbs up bro. Nice work,

on The Sonic Mix 3 by SonicKDT
Checkin' out the track man. The break is good. The reese sounds pretty good. I could have totally gone without all the vox but it seems like maybe that was the idea behind your tune. I don't know if your track is mastered yet, or just a mixdown, but I can hear a slight pumping effect from the compression going on here. What did you use to master with? You should definitely check out the mastering Drum & Bass tutorial by Simon V on his site...just google it. I'm not saying its horrible bro, but quality mastering can make a tune. Overall I think its good concept of a track, it does get quite a tad bit annoying with all the vocals, but if that was the intent bro, then you hit the nail on the head. It could just be because it's not really my style of DnB as I am a neurofunk freak. 6/10!! Keep it up fellow DnBHead!

I agree with Paul 100%. You really need to ensure that your basslines are in time with your drum tracks so the foundation is laid. Keep working at it and you'll get there.
