This rocks my 8-bit world. It's my flavor of nerdism for sure. The bass line is great, pulls it along. Ends up being a catchy ditty that I can hear sitting nicely in any number of Nintendo RPGs.

Nice heavy track with machine gun drums. What did you use for the thick flanged guitar?
digitalenigma0
digitalenigma0 replied Unknown
actually its two samples of my real guitar a sample of a open downtuned power chord and a open down tuned palm mute, then after i finished all the arrangement i added the flange in the very end/final mix out

on Japanese Techno by koble
Haha! I thought Japanese immediately when the track kicked in. It's good stuff too, sounding like some great Japanese game music, or anime themes.
I gotta admit, most Japanese stuff is too busy to wrap my head around. But this was a lot of fun.

Thanks for the listen. The piano samples kept me coming back to this one. I'm glad you liked it.

This is a very well done track. Also, couldn't agree with you more about the genre' comment. I rack my brains trying to figure out what to tag my random tracks with, when I never set out to mix anything in a specific genre.
It's music, it is what it is.

I'm not a big fan of minimalist stuff, but this was a very catchy beat. Innovative and interesting, thanks for sharing!

Nice use of that organ loop. I've played with it and never found a home for it. This one relaxes me, then lifts me up. I really enjoyed it.

Hi GhostPig, Thanks for the heads up. The organ loop was one of the first I ever downloaded off this site - glad you like what I did with it.

on You will Be mine (nightmare mix) by JackRipper
Fat synth loops, and a very slick mix. This one is pro all the way, spin it at any decent club.

Cheers!

on MOVED BY STRINGS by peasantwoman
I really enjoyed this. Where are the string loops from?
I'm a sucker for good strings.
peasantwoman
peasantwoman replied Unknown
Hey ghostpig
The strings are from Garageband, i now use Logic.
Had a look at your profile your songs do not sound like crap,, cat scratch is awesome! Just be careful of songs with film samples,, as the site my pull them for copy right reasons,, i did one with a bladerunner sample which i have took off the site, anyway your original stuff rocks.

Very cinematic. As joken said, it could be in a movie or video game setting really easy.

Did you use the Roland and get those amazing wind sounds?

on Open Eyes by Deepspace
This is amazing ambient moodscape. This is better than 90% of what I hear on sleepbot, or MoodScapes.

I'd enjoy a this type of music to help me wind down, or even in a Planetarium setting.

Cheers!

Must...have...Metal Construction kit.

Kper, this is again top quality prog metal. I feel Dream Theater all over this, and that is a huge compliment from me.

Again, another favorite...look forward to hearing more.

Thanks again for the review. Dream Theater is a big influence for me so I appreciate you mentioning them-I take it as a huge compliment. Yeah, that Metal Construction Kit makes me sound a heck of a lot better than I am- but I'll take it. Just another sound palette to work from. Thanks again for the review. Kper

on Approaching Terminus by Kper
Holy shit man, you just melted my face. This is heavy prog metal at its best. Your electric and acoustic percussion worked seamlessly together. The movements had the smoothness that I wish I could master.

Very nice work, and my first favorite track!

Thanks for the review and the honor, GhostPIG. I always feel insecure about the fluidity of the movements so your feedback helps. Thanks again. Kper

Best track I've listened to all day. This is very pro, very slick mix. Nice work with the vocal samples, and the transitions are tight.

I love the synth work on this one. Pretty tight all around, but could use some build-up. Maybe a little more subtle kick-off.

Nice transitions, cool track.

on Electronic Glass by DeiSenDra
I like some of the electronic riffs on this. The music is solid, but the percussion is getting lost in the mix. I'm not feeling the drums, and I kept expecting them to kick in.
Also a nice fat bass synth would thicken the mix.

Very nice work.

I dig this, if this is what "Chill Out" is (I'm still learning all these genres) then I really like it. This was laid back with a deep groove. Nice work in an hours time.

I picture the rain falling, its dark, the guy is miserable but he keeps pressing on. Something's waitin' when he gets home.

It's dreary and funky, I love it.

on Grime Mayhem (Proper UK Style Grime) by H3llz
I like the creepy stuff, no doubt. It's really raw, and I like that. The fat synth bass doesn't get lost in 1000 tracks.

Cheers!

Not enough folks use this genre for its natural funkiness as well as you did.
Share some of those samples! I'd love to get a hold of some of those hindu loops myself.

Hey bro. Thanks for da kind words bro. I agree, that genre has a natural bounce that's mad catchy. Good idea on the samples bro, I've been just working on tracks, and haven't really set some samples aside for upload... i'm gonna start that up. Thanks again bro!
