My main focus is hiphop/rap but I try to listen to as much as I can on this site! You have some serious, serious talent man. I can appreciate raw talent where it's due. I would love to hear some lyrics to this.

on ATR - Darnkes falls by Astrolica
nah bro, none of the instruments and samples here are supposed to be combined into any single song. It just some noise :(

When the mainline melody is just a bunch of sound effects, you've gone down the wrong path.

I am not trying to sound like an a-hole, just giving some real constructive criticism here.

That reverse hihat kinda takes it away from me, also makes it off beat as well! Try using multiple different sounding hihats for a layered deep sound

Absolutely, there are a few drum VST's that I can recommend for metal. Superior Drummer, BFD or Battery are your best bets! Take a look at them on youtube to get a feel and some tutorials for.

on Fat ARP by kbk
I try to give tips where needed based on my opinion whether good or bad, but I am just not feeling this. The main line in most songs is almost never arpeggiated, especially in hip hop or rap without any leveling and effects. It is amazing for an ambient or background instrument, but not the mainline.

Once again, this isn't a negative comment towards you or anything like that, but it's just something that "me personally" thinks.

Yo, this has some potential. Your lead singer (is that you?) has an unreal scream. It is really, really good. But, the only thing that I have a problem with, is the verse drums. IMO, they have to depict the confusion that the lyrics are projecting. The drums are THE backbone to any song. The drums either aren't the right sounds, prevalent enough, or there isn't enough depth.

The other instruments bro..... AMAZING emotion. The right drum line and kit would make this EPIC.

thanks a bunch ill see how i can improve the drums and yes sir the scream is all me. i wrote all music and vocals everything. Fine red mist is a one man band. do u have any kit suggestion like a VST or something?

There are so many VST's. If you want some of the best sounding synths, I would take a look at Massive, Reaktor or FM8 from Native Instruments. They are very complicated and very expensive though, but there are alot of tutorials on youtube. If you don't know how to obtain it or have the money to purchase, do a quick google search for best free VST instruments.

on I Got U (Cykosis Track) by Buddahmann
Yo BigReeg, that was the first i thought too. Your rhyme scheme is excellent, flows really REALLY nice, very similar to Methodman. This has got to be one of the better pella/beats that I have heard so far! Great job!

Nice man, Love your snare drops. This beat comes together really well. The orchestra also works really well with that cutoff hard synth. Really like this one, got a nice southern vibe to it.

on AYE by vstarz
I like the melody, but you really have got to change the instrument of the mainline. It is way to "plain synth" to be putting in a beat. I noticed that you use FL Studio, what VST's are you using for instruments, or are you using stock insrtuments that came with FL Studio?

on The Ultimate Beat of Mine (My Shawty By Estae) by Beatkutz
I love the way this beat draws you in. The transition to the chorus was fantastic as well as the transition back to the verse. I do think that chorus needs a little more love. It seems instrumentally too empty compared to the hard orchestral bang of the verses, kind of takes away from the overall essence of the beat. Great job with this beat, one of the better ones I have heard so far!

Hi bewl. Thank you for the review and kind words :) I actually sat several hours with the chorus, really struggling. Tried out multiple stuff and I never really got it sounding the way I wanted. I've updated the track now, with some minor changes, so it should sound a little better :)

on Cold and Alone by costantinog
Thanks for your review of my track! This beat has some potential. It is however missing an important element, the main line :D. The sounds you have I would use for an ambiance to accent the main line track. Also, raise the levels of the baseline up a bit, as well as the kick. Leave those snaps in for sure, it gives a special sound to the rhythm. Would also love to hear some cymbals or even some OHH every 4-8 bars, and possibly a reverse cymbal during transition from hook to chorus. I hope I wasn't too nitpicky, but I wouldn't be if the beat didn't have some serious potential!
