Well, thats definitely an interesting way to create your drum pattern. It seems like it would use more RAM then usual, but im a vocalist and no expert. That would be my brother, Pnnywze. He's been producing for a long time. Which reminds me, there are some folks around the community who have decided that they are the resident experts on everything, for some reason. Its far better to listen to what the general consensus on your work is than for someone that has named themselves after a mixing process or function proclaiming your mix is good or bad. This has not happened to us because i think those folks know better, but i do know more than one person here on LM that suddenly doubted their own skill and ability after years of making music. Noone makes a perfect song every time. And NOONE knows it all, the beauty of music is learning new things until the day u leave this Earth, and valuing the way others do things and learning from it, rather than thinking your way is the only way. Music doesnt work that way.
Your drums here are a good example. Not the way i would do it, but sounds good enough for me to try it that way. Music is always like that. We're invested in your musical journey now lol. We'll be following you

Thank you so much for your time. The idea of creating two drum tracks came to me because I saw a video explaining how to combine two different kick drums to achieve a more open sound. And since I still don't know how to make sounds more or less stereo, I thought I'd try it out. As you say, it's probably not the best approach due to the resources used, but it's an experiment; I'm learning. I still have a lot to learn about mixing and especially mastering, because I've never done it before. And the best part, as you say, is learning. It's something I regret, never having had the time to learn all this, because unfortunately, time waits for no one, and I won't have the time to learn everything I'd like. But we'll keep trying.

Best regards, and thank you very much for your comments.

Ok, we think this is pretty good. We can tell u had a lot of fun messing around with the sample, its always fun to create in that way. And developing your own way of doing things is also part of the joy of music, not to mention really important for your musical identity. Part of the fun for us these days is to watch others' as they are on their own journeys through the realm of music. Its fascinating and there is always something to learn whether youve been doing this for 10 years or 10 days (10yrs for me as a vocalist and 15 years for the other vocalists in the group, and over 20 for our producer, my brother Pnnywze)
Anyway nice work and nice vocals as well
TheMonzderSquadd
We dont hear as much good house genre stuff as we'd like, especially stuff like this. Anything but Tech House lol. Also hearing Charvox on a lot of songs lately, nice work there. But we all agree - and there are 6 members of our group, including our producer Pnnywze - that this brought us back to our "Club X" days, from 97 to winter of '99. Club X was a unique and among us, legendary long-defunct night club where all of us would hang out, even back the spirit of The Monzder Squadd was taking root. Anyway some of our earliest (and best) experiences with the club scene were had in that place. I mean, it was called Club X for more than one reason lol. Remembering those days was alot of fun for us, thank you for sharing your song. Also impressive u just used an MPC to do this. They are capable of storing much more information than they once did tho. Anyway nice work!

Thank you very much for the listen and your story. I'm very grateful to hear that my track has brought back great memories for you and your squad on your "Club X" days. Appreciate it.

Well, shyt....I had my guard down and got gut punched lol. This was the most pleasant surprise ive had in awhile. I Went in expecting the stuff Ive heard from of late, the garage-gazi stuff. And thats well enough, of course. The emotional depth and honesty here is pure joy, for us anyway. Pnnywze is saying that the message really resonates with him right now, and we all agree. This is Epic Mega-Ultra Upper Echelon Tier, Chris. Thanks for sharing.

Tumeke man! You made my day with that comment. And yes there is some honest emotional content in there, brought about by a range of internal and external factors. I'm glad you picked up on that. In short it meant something - to me at least. Thanks, Chris.

I see that our boy Cosmo came by, both of you guys' songs are stuck in our heads tonight!
We just wanted to add that we hail from Louisville, KY - just a hop skip and a jump from Chi-town. Im familiar with Lincoln Park, Pnnywze and I went there with our Dad back in 2009, i think it was. And we've been to Chicago for work a few times back when we were still doing flooring. And Pnnywze was stuck at the greyhound station in downtown Chicago for 4 days back in 2016 lol. Funny story, ill ask him to tell u sometime

Yep Cosmo is def in the building! Stuck at Greyhound? I gotta hear that story LOL. That area is way off the chain! Ive got a niece in Hebron KY! You swinging back through is appreciated big time. Im glad this one is still spinning on the ol mental tape recorder lol!

on Tripple N X Charvox - No Promises by TrippleN97
Kinda reminds me of some Porter Robinson stuff, or even some Deadmou5 stuff from around 2012-13 when he cared about stuff other than basslines. It ls enjoyable, so u didnt lie lol. We have some friends who do vocals for EDM Pop and Synth Pop, we could introduce you, if you want. And you can always work with us on something, too - just say the word, brother.
TrippleN97
TrippleN97 replied 5th May 2026 - 3 days ago
Hey fam! It's quite humbling to hear that my music could make you recall such great names. I'm still on that learning curve and it's this kind of love that keeps me pushing every day. 2012 remains my favorite year when it comes to pop and EDM music. I think trends have not had a positive impact on the music. When something is good there's no need to shift from it. That's why I make anything I feel like making despite what the mainstream is currently rolling with.
About the "it's enjoyable" phrase...I meant to type "I hope it's....." haha. It was around 4am when I typed that description and my mind was tired as I did not sleep working on it. I'm glad you find it enjoyable though.
About the EDM and Pop singers, I would really appreciate the plug man. I'd be more than happy to work with you guys on anything.
Cheers!!

on Jazz Waves ft Steve Bone and Ben Edwards by Cosmo
Man, its crazy to think how much i hated the saxophone for years. And now i cant get enough of it. My big brother is still the coolest dude in the world to me (just dont tell him I said that lol) and its easy to like the stuff that he does. Hes been on a jazz kick lately, so Ive been on that kick with him lol. You and Mark consistently upload songs with best use of Saxophones we've ever heard. All instrumentation is great, really tho. Another track that made us feel like we're in a dimly lit mini-club filled with cigar smoke and faces half hidden in shadow, listening to live music. Noir!

I'm from the Chicago area. North of the Chicago Loop is a neighborhood called Lincoln Park. There was a club like a cave in the basement of an office building called The Jazz Bulls. The acoustics and the "In Yo Face" vibe was sensory overload! That's where I got this feeling from. I have never forgot that feeling. So your comment made me feel some type of way! Gratitude for the interest.

on Out Loud by Mindway
This is our favorite song from you instrumental-wise, u put some work into this one for sure. Your vocals are on point, as always. There are a couple of beats that my brother says hes gonna try and get u on, idk if he sent em to you yet or not, but they're insane. It baffles me how you guys can make songs like that and they be so freakin awesome. Dont look at me, im just a rapper lol

on Crossroads Call by RichardShekari
Hey Richard! I gotta say, i just heard the new song you did with Pnnywze and, wow man. Its so good. And it seemed effortless from both of you to produce a track of that quality. It takes us forever sometimes to get it in gear and get our vocals done.
Your lyrics are great, as is the variety your vocals display. But also you do things that are harder to put on paper - u have a knack for knowing the perfect placement for transitions and change ups, and even your spoken word spots are on point. We hope bigger things come your way, brother. We heard this one as we were saying this, and its great, too. Not that we had any doubt:)
RichardShekari
RichardShekari replied 5th May 2026 - 3 days ago
Haha, I had to study that beat for hours to figure out how to approach it without messing up the vibe it carries.
Id told him earlier Id try to record and deliver it in three days, but maybe because I kept the beat on repeat, I was able to find different melodies to lay on it.
It was fun. The rap part wasnt even part of the plan I was singing, missed a note, and it actually felt good thats how that section turned into rap.

Thanks Squadd. The guy I work with occasionally has his own full time band, and will probably not be in any Mindway songs for a while. But anything is possible, something very well could happen with us two and a Squadd and or Pnnywze colab in the future.

We have truly grown into huge fans, Richard. You bring a modern R&B sensibility to your work, and it makes it infinitely more approachable. We hope u know that, man. That gift was given to you and we feel like that is one big reason. The folks of today, especially the youth, can feel beyond reach at times. But your approach grabs attention immediately. Lovely work man. My brother is working on a beat for u, he had the stomach flu this week so that put him a little behind, i think

Man, thank you so much.
I really appreciate that. That means a lot coming from you guys.

I cant even lie, Im really looking forward to the beat. Your brother and I spoke earlier about it, so Im already excited for what hes putting together. I hope hes feeling much better now too.

And honestly, thank you both for believing in me and for the kind of support youve been showing...its deep, and I dont take it lightly at all.

Hello my friend,
thank you! Im glad you brought it up. Most people here know me mainly from the vocal work Ive done over the past years, but very few actually know the band. And they are an absolutely top tier band!
You can tell by the fact that all of the musicians work not only with me, the little mouse lol, but also with truly great artists.
If you have some time, listen to the current album TIME.
And again, thank you for your kind words.

Hello to the Squad,
Thank you so much for your approach. It is truly meaningful when we feel joy over something we didn't do ourselves, but that a friend did, knowing they are happy and well. That is empathy, and in my humble opinion, it is also a form of altruism.
Best wishes, Anthony
