Hello, PaperKup. How goes it all the way over in Austria? Ive liked your cinematic stuff, you have a inique approach, and I like the vibes you create. The only thing I can think of is a personal preference - I want to hear some more strings in these pieces. There are some, but I would personally go two octaves higher AND lower and add those strings in. The low frequency strings can bring a degree of anxiety or doom, but can easily segue into an epic or heroic theme. The highs accent the lows, of course, and also bring a sense of imminent good or bad, depending on the chords being used, and many other feelings. Cinematic works aren't just visually oriented songs, they're meant to make us feel something, and in a big way - that's why Those Huge epic Movie Scores for stuff like Star Wars or indiana jones is held in just as high a regard as the movie itself. The music is half the experience. You have a keen understanding of the type of music you like to create. Something that I think would be cool to do is the kind of brainstorm idea for a huge action movie like the ones I mentioned , and then once you have a good plot and characters and all that in mind, compose a score for it. The potential is there for something fun and a little different. If if the mood ever strikes you to try something similar to what I've suggested.Let me know.I think it would be cool to help out with something like that. I see my brother's comment, I hear the trance influence alot too. I wish raves and glo parties and clubs that vibe only with this kind of music were still around in my area. Really tho, I've had exposure to all types of music here on LM and I find it simply awesome that people can be so different but support each other, and work together, even when it seems an unlikely pairing - those can result in some of the most interesting musical works you'll ever hear. We love us some EDM and trance, it brings us back to our club days. This one is pretty good as is, but it still has some potential. I see you use Mixcraft, which Im only a little familiar with. When Im faced with a similar situation, I will go and extract the stems from the song, and using those, extend the track with a blend of new material and old. Turns out well most of the time, im currently working on something where I had to do this. If u dont have a way of doing this, I could do it for you. Man Aaron always beats me to the comments lol. This song is amazing! I remember him making those loops, i was there that day, and I honestly felt like youd do well with it. And boy was I right. The song just drips talent. Oli did some dope work with my brother's loops. And you do remind me just a bit of Stefani here too, but thats a good thing. We can see that you have a comment from Banana Lu - He is one of the reasons the Squadd came to be because of his hard work in our earliest days, and because of how much he championed us. We can never repay that kind of debt, but there's always a place for him in the group. If you have never heard our early songs, most of them feature Lu. We try our best to follow the latest work of our favorite producers, but sometimes other commitments in life take up too much time and we cant listen to as much as we'd like. I can definitely tell you that your overall work has improved alot in the last year or two. I think youve learned what you're biggest musical strengths are and worked on improving those things. Your work just flows better. You also really seem to take the advice the community gives you and apply it well. You should be proud of that lead melody. Its essentially a Bonez On Marz Lead, and you should think of it that way. Congratulations on your work as of late, man.
