Paul! Ok youve become quite the sound engineer. Clever how you worked the stereo field to perfection. The backing track is flame and the overall production is impressive. Your dedication is admirable!
thanks for stopping by Mark, i have a new approach now, still plenty music just not as much, also i've dug deeper into engineering my work, to get a better finish, i still have lots to learn tho, each day is a school day when its comes to music, its finding the time but i'm happier and that will improve me all round
Anthony! If you have ever heard the group Lettuce, I can hear their dna here. This wide open groove is so fire. You've done this right! Thanks for sharing.
Oh, thank you so much Mark, I really feel so well with your words. I am flattered that you find a funky essence in my track that reminds you of "Lettuce". Great group that I am listening to, right now. My preferences in music have much to do with various styles of jazz, especially smooth jazz and bluesy stuff. It is possible that some things rise to the top unintentionally and this is a good thing to say.
Thank you once more.
Best wishes, Anthony
Thanks a lot Mark! If you're interested, I redid the vocals and remixed it and then put it on streaming as part of my latest album. You can find them through my profile or here: https://baobou.blogspot.com/2025/02/links.html
CES. For me it gets no better! Father and son! Wow! From the stairwell studio to the finger swipes across the strings, again WOW! So emotive with a beautiful flow. Thanks to you and your Dad for this masterpiece.
JC! What a fine production. Sweet vocals, fire keys, but that BASS tho. Flute was a nice addition, guitar chords are lovely on my ears. Lastly the Rhodes chords are boss. You did this just right!
Peace,
Mark
DAN! Just stop! That synth bass with that kick is NASTY!LOL. Keys and effects are spot on! Now the vocals are par excellence. This is a pure Jem! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Anthony! Man! what a soundscape. That wind instrument melody is JAZZY. Amazing layers. Agreed the tension is uplifting, with a positive outcome. Guitar lead is stellar. Synth bass is fire.
