I do not envy anyone who has lost so much to war. I think that we as americans dont know how bless we are to have never have a war on our shores. As for this song, I think it captures the feeling you hoped to preserve within the music.
Ok, well you are changing my mind in regards to the power of FL (if that is what you used). I was unaware that is was capable of songs such as this. This song sounds to me as if I should be hearing it on a dream dance cd... Very nicely done. Its rare that another unsigned musician can so accurately remind me of my past as this song has.
I dont really listen to the rap stuff much since The Chronic 2001, due to the lack of originality. This track speaks to me tho. I love the backing track, and the orchestral web being spun. The rap tho sounds a little too much like Eminem for my taste. And back to originality. A beatiful song tho. The breaks all fall in a great place, and the recouperation is artfully contructed. A+++
Lovely dance track. Sounds like a lot of time spent in the mix and loop selection. I would really like to hear the finished hour set as well. Till then, keep hammering them out!
Yeah, I like it. The pads are nice. In my mind, I would use them for argeggios and the like. But a nice production here. You should continue on with it.
Hellacious mix! Nice work! The samples compliment each other very well. I think Im blowin up! AGHHH! Very professional track. I think im gonna have to look into your other tunes. What sample pack was it that you used? Its got me curious now. A+++
I hear the MK in this. 'Sonya wins!' lol. Nice arpeggio work here. Doesnt sound like a loop, more like programming. Great job. I little close the MK theme tho. Overall, a good mix, although a bit low in volume. No big deal. The big deal is the high replay value in this song. Me likes it!! A+
jaaah it was gonna be in dminor but i put instead of puting e notes i put e flates. did know i did it till i listen to it the riffs and thought it sounded better anyway. i been think of reloading the song up and keep going wit it and maybe go along wit the mk theme and add lil sound bits from the old games but idk yet im gonna realy think bout it befor i start back on it if i do even start back on it
Hell yes hard ware is just as good, if not better than software. And yes gain, you have to be able to use it. Proof is in the puddin as the synth and drum loops I posted are being eaten alive. But...
Good song here. Good mix. A little low in level, but thats easy to fix. I wish I had a Fantom. A buddy sold his for $400. I wanted to kick his ass. Or at least for not selling it to me. On that note, I cant even use my SY-77! It is complicated, but I see that you, sir, are a master of the machine. Keep crankin em out!
Audiofiend is listening- hell yea baby! still haven't got my hard into soft yet ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I am just an ol' fashion cowboy.
Yes, again, nice work. You seem to be fairly skilled if that is you playing the piano and keyboard. Is this you playing these loops? I wont promise anything grand, but maybe I can try my hand at a guitar part(s) over it?
I agree with the others about thefloyd sounding qualities of this song... to a degree. It is dark, and it is nice, but i think the bongos are kinda out of place. They are a bit loud, and are repitious sounding because of the level. Just my opinion tho. I like the tune. A nice achievment. You should be proud of it.
Wow, sounds like a good mix. The instruments are all clear, But the voice sounds a little drowned in places. You have a pretty voice, you should let it out a bit more. Nice composition, let us hear more!
Nice. Its hard to find that caliber of vocal melody on this site. I dont do much vocal work myself, but Im impressed with your creativeness given the unvariability of the loops. The mix sounds good, but I might have brought out more highs in the piano, and maybe the vocal track, but that has more to do with the model of mic used. BTW, what mic are you using for this one? And so, overall, well done.
I'm still working on the song, so I'll keep your advice in mind when I get back to mastering. I'm still in the process (I usually balance my tracks for 256kbps mp3s, not 128kbps, so this version is pretty mid heavy), and I'll probably rerecord the vocals, add some flair, and try to eliminate the stray mouse clicks that somehow found their way into my recording. The piano part will get a few more fills, and the drums might as well.
I'm just using the built-in mic on my laptop, so the audio quality is utter crap. I had to apply some noise reduction to get rid of all the fan noise. I have a USB boom mic somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it.
I have no idea what your song description is trying to say, But this track is terrible. The mix is way out there, the samples are nasty, and there is a melody conflict. Back to the drawing board!
And I also see you are immature about things as well. i

Haha! I like it. I dont know why, but it reminds me a little of the mortal combat song. Maybe its the vocal track, short, sweet, and to the point. Well, maybe not sweet. I dont think sweet was your aim. Well constructed tune. Great job!
Yes, I know this is my second review of this track. I have one more recommendation tho. For the intro, along with the band-pass envelope, I thought it would sound good with an additional phaser or flanger effect.
hey, thanks for the reviews bro. would like to try out your suggestions but someones screwed with the original project file for this track so i cant really modify it without making it again. thanks for the feedback tho
peace
Great message. Jesus never hurt anyone, its a wonder why so many people are scared of him. I like the song, and it passed the test of commercial construction, being that the chorus comes within 45-60 seconds of the beginning of the song. This is a standard most people never think about. The drums were really quite boring during the first minute of the song tho. But I would like to hear the final mix.

Funny thing about all of this, I have no idea how to play an instrument or know anything about music scores. I'm learning every day though.
I come from being a DJ and mixing my own music, so some of this is natural. Much easier then mixing onto tape from turntables and cd players...
