Modnex, Really cool track you have going on there kinda celtic vibe being Scottish i can relate to. Speaks to me of mountains and green and rain the harp gives it that slant in my mind. Nicely produced and arranged ..well done my time traveller in music, best regards Robbie.
Thanks Robbie! I agree this does have a Celtic/Scottish vibe. It's interesting to me, as I never thought my music would go in that direction, but I'm happy it did!
Hey Pat , one of the guys here mentioned this reminds him of System of a Down. Never having heard them work i went over to YT and had a listen to "Chop Suey" and i was blown away by that track it has about 46 million hits incredible. In your track i like the angst i like the pain and i like to hear anger i always think nothing good comes to anyone except through PAIN which in turn leads to GROWTH. Excellent stuff best regards Robbie.
Hey Robbie! Thank you for giving this track a listen! I apologize for having been absent lately... it's been a hard time, with much stress and illness. Things will get better, and I won't forget about those stems you sent. You are right about pain, and that is an optimistic way to think about it. Please have a good day!
what a super track unusual backing which is not the usual 4 on the floor brutal heavy beat makes a really nice change, you have the flow going real nice.Excellent work. Best regards.
love the bass guitar motif and the laid back funkiness. I prefer Lindt dark chocolate which goes with the dark and mysterious track. This is so very nice it would go down well in any club TASTY ..good job best regards.
Burning up, burning up burning up yeh lovely flow. Very catchy hook me burning up in me head all day :) excellent work it has real drive- plenty of energy and power. Bravo. Regards Robbie.
This track section super nice quality its all slotting together real nice and the vocals are great on it. im looking forward to the finished product well done best regards.
really excellent job you have dome here perfect cinematic soundtrack i read asidRn comments and your reply mentioned mixing software what product are you referring to as i lack mixing arranging skill also what vst are you using for the violins in this track they are very good. best regards Robbie
I" m using nch mix pad right now. free software. hard to mix and match beats and pitches. I would like to get Magix music maker. used the demo for 30 days and loved it. let me know if you have any suggestions.
Hey man cool track nice and meaty i like it there is plenty to weave in a nice lead . i clicked the link phatkatz4 put up very funny lol :) keep up the good work best regards Robbie.
Hi nice track has a funky groove the intro drum beat is very nice. I have been working on my Roland Gaia recently and find hard synths make me think about and use the filters, LFO etc i would love to have some old Hard synths like your Korg sounds like a lot of fun, looking forward to more. Best regards. Robbie.
Thanks for your comment. Well I had to lookup on the Roland Gaia on the internet. It looks pretty cool and easy to maneuver with this buttons and knobs. When reading the specifications it seem to be a really nice one and I really think that you should be able to create quite the same sound as the Korg Mono/poly synth. Just down size the voices and polyphony :)
very nice work if this is your first track it is very very good well done.. keep up the good work in soundland and good luck with the exams. Best regards Robbie.
nice ...i turned off my monitor in case something came smashing out of it and pulled me back in to the spirit world. this track is good on its own merit you did a very good job modern equipment would not improve it. :) Robbie
thank you Rob :)
didn't find the bass line was a little bit higher than the beat? i spent time on the low frequencies of the drum and the bass guitare but i'm not sure it's a success... bass line seems to crush the drum. May be because i chose a sub bass plugin? don't know...
Magic stuff made me sit up and smile you have a firm grip of the DnB neck my left side had an eargasm then the right ear jealous as ever also you guessed it eargasm too. I loved the unexpected guitar ending bravo maestro Best regards.
Ahaaa now i have found you i will stay on the track like a musical bloodhound sniffing for jazz riffs blues runs and all good things guitarwise oh yes my droogish brother this glassy guitar which lived in the first half of the track made me go back and repeat the experience. Hail to the stratocaster and its brother the telecaster. :)
As I type this I have my G&L USA Legacy sitting on my lap, I've always been a Leo Fender disciple, he was a true American genius and since he set up G&L his instruments have only improved (in very small increments as you can't reinvent the wheel) I've always loved that single coil sound unique to Strat and teles, I think G&L's are better build quality than the new Fender American Standards and rival their custom shop creations, though nothing could beat having a 64 Strat or 57 Tele (Imo) but hell, who could afford one of those!...thanks again mate, your comments are much appreciated! Dave :)
Hi im so glad you uploaded this track she does have a fantastic voice really super you have built a real quality boss track round her. If i had half your mixing and arranging skills i would be a very happy man indeed . Thanks best regards. Robbie
Hey Nodog thanks heaps man!.. guitars actually aren't that hard to make once you've done a few, now a piano or saxophone there's some serious building smarts! haha..very much appreciate you taking the time to listen! cheers Dave :)
Hi i love this sound with the guitar how do you record that ? i was in Worcester in South africa last year and they make those guitars with 1 gallon oil cans and they sound great best regards Robbie
This one is an electric, I used a pick up out of my Ibanez Gio, it got a new one, but on most I use a piezo pick up (contact mic) so they're wired just like a regular electric guitar. I've made a few acoustics but prefer adding the electonics for the option of recording without a mic. You'll get sound acoustically, the bigger the box the louder it will be. I play through an audio interface into my computer to record. The fx used here are Guitar rig 5 - blues git 74 and soundtoys - Crystaline. I see alot of stuff they make in africa out of soda bottles, soup cans and stuff :p Amazing the instruments that can be made out of junk! One man's trash is another's treasure. Saw an instrument that was nails stuck into a branch and the guy would hit them with like drum sticks, each had a different tone. I sent 8 american license plates to a guy in pretoria south africa a few months ago, he was going to make them into license plate guitars, made a few of those myself, also cookie tins and many other assorted tins/boxes. They're addicting as hell and so much fun to play! This is a great video on ho to make one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmzvfyOizV8 same guy does one finger lessons to teach people to play them too.
Crucethus what a very cool intro super ambient n kinda funky almost took me back to miami vice i could see a nice big speedboat n Don Johnston looking so uber cool thanks :) best regards
I hear what you mean about the miami vice sounds. I actually modelled this one song as a blue print. https://youtu.be/ILaTgQBKRbE
