This track is too cool! I really like the beats and the edgy sound of the mix. It would be cool to hear a remix that Travis Huckins did. Nice work so far!
Great bass and beats on this one! Definitely a hot track! Cool melodies and the mix sounds real nice! I agree, the arrangement is really good, it holds my interest. Great work!
Cool stuff! I haven't heard the original, but this seems like a creative take on the song. I think the mix maybe does sound a bit muddy, but my ears hurt from mixing all day... Fun stuff!
Prech that mate. Yeah, I think that's what my problem was when I made that comment (hours & hours of mixing leaves one's ears kinda funky). Glad ya dug it. Later on!
The intro was great then the song kicked in and oooh ooh what a cool mix!!! Everything is so well placed, and fits together so well! And oooh oooh I can download it!!! faved for sure!
This sounds really cool, especially if you're a newcomer to the genre! I like the spaciousness of the mix, and the effects. Your bass line is pretty cool too. This sounds almost cinematic at times. Nice work!
I love the style of this track, very unique rhythms! I like the tempo of this track. Nice use of the vocals, they sound great in this setting. Nice work!
I love the variety of sounds you've used to build such an amazing soundscape... this really is a soundscape... it's like there's no escape! I like the unusual instruments you record with, and you have a talent for bringing for such strong sounds from them. Another amazing track!
I keep trying to do sonic narratives, and in this sense the soundscape is the closest I've gotten. What's cool about this is that interpretation still rests in the audience, and ultimately each interpretation is slightly different. Reading all these reviews (11 in such a short time is incredibly flattering!) I'm struck with how each is truly grounded in the "text". The soundscape provides an interpretive ground, and nobody's hearing "happy blue dancing bunnies" or anything outside of its ground. This is cool and exciting to see. Thanks much mon ami le artiste - your perspective means a great deal to me.
This has a very hopefull vibe to it! I really like the synth sounds, and the guitar sounds great in the mix. Very nice flow to the track, due to your excellent arrangement. Nice work!
I really like the creepy vibe you've built up with this track, between the deep bass and those vocal samples. The mix sounds pretty good overall. Nice work!
I really like the deep grooves on this track. The use of sound effects is also very special. Nice pads, and the overall mix sounds very good. Cool track!
This sounds really awesome! I would bring those vocals up in the mix a bit, with spoken word the words should really stand out. Nice beats and orchestration though. Cool stuff!
I dig the funky bass line on this track. Great use of loops, but those horns are almost a little loud. Drop them down a bit and I think the whole song will have more power. Cool stuff though, fun track!
You've established a really good energy with this track! I really like the synth work on this one. You've incorporated the vocals really nicely, where'd you find those vocs anyway? Really enjoyable track!
I like all the unusual percussive sounds on this track. Definitely feels like a bit of a chill out track. Cool use of effects, and the mix sounds good. Nice work!
Thanks, I really didn't know what genre to put it in >.> but after you mentioned it every time I listen to this song, I just feel like closing my eyes and just breathing. thanks for the comment and I'm very happy you enjoyed it. =^.^=
I'm really diggin the tribal drums on this one, it gives the track a lot of energy. Groovy synth work on this one too! This track definitely gets me goin!
This track is arranged so well, it flows great. I love the funkiness you've created on this. Very cool percussion mixing too. Cool stuff, I'm gonna have to fave this one!
The vocals on this track remind me of depeche mode or echo and the bunnymen a bit, some kind of old british stuff anyway. Very enjoyable song to compliment my coffee and cigarette. Really nice work on this one!
Thanks for the review spivkurl. This is a cover of "Birdland" from Weather Report's classic album 'Heavy Weather' which is why it seems familiar. Their version however is vastly superior to this.
I'm digging the organ type sounds you've used on this one! Very cool bass line too, it's got a good energy of movement to it! Cool vocal clips, with a good message. Excellent work on this track!
