Thank you!
Well anything i made is weird in some way i think. It's because i'm weird. And lame. :)
But to be a bit more serious, yes, when someone work with loops only - and mostly not with loops planned together -, the result mostly will be mixed in quality (or will be boring, which is lot worse). A few unwanted notes here, some lack of variation in the melody there...
But that's not a problem to me, i like weird and disharmonic things, the question is always if other people can tolerate it or not. :)
I like it, it sounds like a song from a larger set of a dubstep album and from another rythm you've come into this one, the flute that comes in at 57 seems louder than the rest of the song, a little unbalanced, but I'm listening to the song through my laptop speakers and the speakers don't really have any bass, it's mostly trebol, so that might be the reason, but I like it, another good dupstep sound
thank you for the advice . . these are songs that are made only with a laptop and a pair fl studio headphones so what. . yet not allow me more but I think that when you really want something you can do any good song. .
haha the beggining is like the part in Jurassic Park when they're in the movie room learning about DNA. I liked everything that came after that too, great stuff.
the first part is an alien invasion or an alien landing like in the movie "Close Enconters of The Third Kind", then after about a minute you took me to a Nevada desert with a guy sitting on the porch of an old abandoned gas station or abandoned general store with neon lights that dont work or that were flttering, the guy was in a rocking chair with a cowboy hat on and a long dusty brown jacket on, he was playing an acoustic guitar with the slide on his finger, towards the end it's a young blond girl in her twenties having flashbacks of an acid trip laying down in a hospital bed or laying back in her car seat moving her head from side to side.
Holy crap! You are trippin' Igor! I definitely need you writing for the website. The guitar work is all phatkatz4 and I think he used his cigar box guitar for this. And yup - it is all about that slide.
Now the blond chick - I really don't know about that - except I hope she is available.
If you did not go over to the site to hit the FAV! , I'd be grateful if you would. Thanks for awesome comment. Dan
It's tight. You even left a part for the rap and a part for the chorus. I was already mumbling words over the beat to see how they would go with the rythm.
hehe afterwards I went to go look at your profile and it turned out that you were from Holland, it goes to show that your music reflects your environment, culture, and where you're from. I was once in Amsterdam, 10 years ago, but it was only for a month. I like your track I'm gonna listen to it for a 4th time now.
Ohh xD I assumed you checked it before you commented.
But honestly I don't get why you get that amsterdam vibe, well maybe because of the lifter/sweeper?
I dont often use one, but I wanted to try it again.
But as far as creating music goes for me, is the opposite of mainstream, since I dont like mainstream, I get my ideas usually from artists like daft punk and kanye west.
anyhoo awesome that you like it so much :)
Thanks!
hey isn't this inspired by New Order- Blue Monday? I'm too sleep deprived to check the other comments, if it's just a coincidence or either way you could find the acapella to that song or you could sing the lyrics of that song over this, I'm singing the lyrics in my head right now, ecxcellent song just like you described it psychedelic techno and it's retrosih, cool
No, this wasn't inspired by Blue Monday and I didn't think about it once while making it. Or until you mentioned it. However, I am a massive fan of that song. Does this really sound like it? I'm not hearing it. Something to do with the bassline, no doubt.
But there are so many changes in this one. Which section do you think sounds like Blue Monday? The first minute or so?
I have another, very different track that does actually remind me a bit of Blue Monday in the second half (because of the bassline) when things start to get uptempo and then a slide solo enters. Check that track here:
It's good dude, the good thing is that it has words and it's well mixed, since it's 6 minutes long though, maybe around 3:30 you should have gotten crazy, something chaotic, a change-up or something, but that's my own personl taste, like the part at 5:45 but crazier, something to overload the brainwaves (like for example have you ever listened to the psytrance artist Gotalien? Or have a crazy part like hip-hop artists used to do with the turntables) , It's excellent though
unique an good, it can be used in a movie, I just imagine a 14 year old girl in Spain with long bown hair, alone in her room, during the daytime, hugging her pillow, on her bed, looking up to the right and a little to the left thinking bout something as the camera slowly zooms in on her, in the scene in the movie
I like this, I hear everything from LMFAO, Beastie Boys, N2Deep,Dr.Dre west coast, it has a kind of Chicano feel to it. Then I went to go listen to jsnellbeats version, but I like this version better. Your mix and his rap are good.
it's cool bro, don't stop bustin out lyrics, but maybe you can make a second version with dubstep drops, in the instrumental parts make it as crazy as you can with wubs and wobbles, I mean the song is called LSD, it's still good though
It sounds good from my laptop, listening to it from the built-in speakers of my laptop, this is like ear candy, the only thing I might not like is that the vocal where it says "infectious" sounds kind of corny. But the mixture of weird sounds, rhythms, and melodies makes it bad#ss, thanks. I was hoping it wasn't going to be boring and it wasn't. It could be like club music but you could also listen to it at home.
I like it, I liked the veloza raptors and the aliens and then all of a sudden a Rob Zombie sound comes in. The only thing I don't like about goatrance sometimes is the repetitiveness. Why can't every four bars be a combination of diferent melodies and then then the next four bars a variation of those same four bars, like don't change the pattern up but just the notes and sometimes make slight variations on the pattern, and then you can make it crazier with stutters and stuff like that, the sound is awesome though, I'm just giving my opinion as a fan
