on my first Reasons3 by Blurryshutter
Oh shiznit. The whole crash thing. I almost lost 100000+ samples but had a backup drive to save my behind. I like where this is going. Some dark bass or static sounds could work. I feel like there should be lyrics over this. I look forward to hearing what was lost.

Hey thanks for listening. I plan on remaking this one when I do I might just ask you to add these sounds you speak of.

Nice production on this mix!! Groovy. And, of course, heehee, the lyrics.

Nice job on the vocal harmonies. That 32nd tick sound played in the beat sounds a little out of place. Kinda of makes it lose that Latin live feel. Maybe congas or bongos? I dunno. The vocals in the chorus are catchy tho! Good job!

I think you know by now the length. lol. I thought this had more of a reggae feel. even with a slight taste of ska, since, of course, the horns. If you throw a sax solo, you should have the bass play of off that. If you add keys, be careful not to crowd the space. The guitar already plays well, and the drums should stay back and just hold the groove. I like where this is going. I look forward to the finished piece man.

For some reason this reminds me of being in the head of Donnie Darko. Something like that. I like the bass drum sneaking in. The higher frequency crackles get a little biting in the beginning but blend well later. Might want to adjust the dB or eQ in the beginning. The delay effects work awesome tho!! Definitely shows you put some effort into this. Nice job.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely work on smoothing it out in the beginning. Thanks for listening and the input: DDDD

I kinda dig it. Yes, sometimes each little breakdown runs a little too close together, but I could mix this. Maybe, think about letting that fat bass groove run for awhile and play more with the dynamics of the drums, a good echoing-like crack off the snare every now and then. Or, combine some of those breakdowns. Anytime I've spun some dark DnB, I think about that aggression or being in some wicked jungle or cave. I do like where this is going tho!! Keep it up!

do you mean the bass at the beginning? Good idea with the echo.. I will have to put a little more work in this one. Thanks for listening and the advice!

Crazy. Like it when the beat kicks in and sticks around for a while. Reminded me a little bit of Squarepusher.
