I was originally born in New York City,Manhattan but moved to California at the age of 7.Started getting a passion for dancing at the age of 15.Me and my brother James formed a 6 man dance group named FreeStyle and we started by doing car shows,then moved towards opening act for rappers and singers like 2-Live Crew,EPMD and several freestyle acts.We finally got a break when we were discovered at a local talent show where we were in a dancing contest by Sheila E. which is best known as a drummer/percussionist working with such singers like Prince,Lionel Richie,Tito Puente and her father Latin Jazz legend Pete Escovedo.We auditioned for her in Oakland California.She was still working on her Album,which was not going to be done for a year.While we waited for Sheila E. to complete her Album we continued doing our gigs as usual.Then I got a call from Sheila E's people to come and reaudition since she wanted to see if we were the same group from a year ago.We reauditioned and got to become her dancers.we flew to Los Angeles to film her first music video entiltled,"SEX CYMBAL",which was backed up by Warner Bros.We did many shows with Sheila and her father Pete Escovedo,and our final project with her was to film another music video in my hometown New York City,the video was called Dropping like Flies.After finishing our project with Sheila that opened more doors for us to dance for other artists,in Freestyle Music,like Johnny O. Connie,and Jaya.I knew dancing would not last forever so me and my brother formed a 4 man singing group since we had singing ability inherited from my mother.The group was named the Wild Boys,we did many shows throughout the United States including Mexico.We continued until the unexpected death of my brother James.The group went their own way but I still wanted to continue with my music in my brother's memory.So I reauditioned again but this time I just wanted a 2 man group.So I ended up with my second member named Trini Valdez.We also performed in many local venues including 2 television spots in back then latin Univision show called Caliente.Which landed us a 6 year 3 album deal with BMG Latin.That project never got to become reality since the people representing us made the deal fold.Since then I have been working on tracks and have become a solo artist,and currently looking for new material,for an album I working on.I want to do a full Reggeaton album but I am posting my music that I have done in the past so you members can see what type of voice I have.anyone intersted in becoming part of this project,just let me know.
