ahhhhhhhhhh, this is MUCH better for a midnight listen.
i can feel myself swaying from side to side, like a tree from a gentle breeze, this is my get-a-way. my mind is mush, oblivious to the cares of my surrounds. finally...i relax and go wherever the muzic leads me. the water, the water is saying something...
it's like a gentle massage for the brain. i think i'd better be going now, i really enjoyed my stay. thanks for your hospitality.
that last chord at the end was the door shutting. thanks for sharing :-)
Hey Pat..thank you for dropping by and giving some of these old tracks a spin, most appreciated....if I'd known you were going to drop by I'd have made some tea and scones for you...(do Americans eat scones or even know what they are?..I'm suddenly thinking) lol...cheers Dave :)
Haha..it's about as trance as sleeping pills are! lol..I had no idea as to what genre to put it under at the time..In fact the whole reason for this track was in response to some comments I got privately from a Muslim hip hop member objecting to my use of some Islamic chanting mixed with some sexy woman's voice I'd put in a track, which because I was a relatively new member at the time I took down...I should have told the nutter to go forth and multiply.....anyway this was my artistic reaction to the whole episode......I still quite like it! lol cheers Dave :)
bass, you play bass. i'm hanging out at your place right now and as my memory recalls other tunes i've heard of yours, it is recording (yet again) the sound that makes Dave Planetjazzbass. maybe i wouldn't be able to close my eyes and listen to your muzic and "know" it's yours yet, but i'm getting there.
eshar's voice is so soothing, and that muzic, carefully calculated, made to transform anger to calm from 20 to 0.
Hey Pat...you know when I listen to this old material of mine..I cringe at how little I understood track mastering and production values....Eshar did a fine job of narration, and has a marvellous voice but it's a little fast in places, for my liking these days...we are all on a learning curve though...thank you for your kind review. Dave :)
Hi Pat....I would expect that any husband of yours, apart from walking around 24/7 shaking his head in wonder at how lucky he is,would say 'groovy baby' a lot! lol...cheers and thanks for the listen Dave ;)
You had me, all the way up to the end haha. You gotta do one last chord with the band after I say "with you", you just gotta, three times I've listened to it and my brain goes crazy with Adrian Monk anxiety LOLOL.
This is REALLY REALLY fun, great, I never think of Reggae for my vocals, you have outdone yourself Mister! And that bass, especially on the bridge, mwahhhhhhhhh! Gon' wichoo bad self!
Well Patricia, I don't know why but when I heard your acapella I immediately thought of reggae for this one... So, here's the result... :)
I'll try to place that chord in the end and I'll send you an update :)
I'm so glad you liked it :)
Maybe I would have liked to play a variation around a second verse, even short.... :)
I'm just curious... For the bridge, was that the harmony you were hearing while writing your bridge ? I had so much fun with this chord progression....
I'm glad I have found this site, with so many people who share their talent... I'd never have had the opportunity to find such a good voice here in my little France...
Well howdy there country girl!
Your Shania tunes have been fantastic, you and Richie are doing so well and I look forward to many more...maybe"From this Moment"?..well,it is a wedding type of song... but A good one!
Thank you for the review,You know what Spell can do and Bones is great at what he does and added,I'm A lucky guitarist with very talented friends;)
I didn't listen to you original track until after I recorded this to try to give me my own view on it. I really like the vocal structure and the lyrics. So after listening to it a few times. It sounded like a good ol fashioned pop/rock ballad. I could image it being sung with someone playing acoustic guitar and you singing. "Like an MTV unplugged" lol. Sorry it is not exactly on time with your lyrics I didn't try to chop and there is really not much of mix. Just gave you my basic view on your great song. You have a great style
Well idunno a thing about DnB, in fact my vocals find themselves in them and I can never help with a "critique", but thanks to Spiv, Free, and Bennson, and anyone else I guess it's all good.
Your vox lend themselves to the genre very well,if a vocal like this is 90bpm it makes it easy for a dnb producer to work with cos our genres nearly double the speed so it falls into tempo pretty easy... love ur pellas ...much love from the uk
Hi PatriciaEdwards, thank you for the nice comments on the track, I have just edited the title on this track to Come Around Again, because there is an older song out there under the title of Coming Around Again.
Best Regards,

the muzic reminds me of aretha franklin's "chain of fools". in the words of [my husband from 2 lifetime's ago] austin powers, "groovy baby".

I'm not really sure about those strings, they're kind of iffy for me, but I'm not at good speakers so never mind that right now. I really like it!!!
