I felt like you worked me awl up and then threw me down at the end, ya gotta do an encore or something there at the end...although, it made me hit play again so you may have somethin there! hehe
You could always do one of the clubhouse extended keep em on the dance floor a little longer versions!!! :-)
The girl don't know nothin 'bout house and she's singing it ROFL.
WongKiShoo I am blushing, giddy inside, inspired, this makes me want to do more house!! It's always great to hear any vocals get proper muzic and even though idunno a thing about what makes house house, I'd say this ROCKS, or is it this HOUSES LOL...I LOVE IT!!!
Yes, the guitar solo in the left ear, that's my good ear hehe. Very nice simple piece of work, I think it almost relaxed me into sleep mode haha. I really enjoyed it, almost has a jazz feel to it.
Hi Patrica, thank you for taking time and listening here!
greatly apperacate it! iam glad I was able to convey the feeling of everything thing is going to be ohkay and work out!
I've been sitting here for 3 mins looking for something to light up, but I'd probably be out of a home if I lit anything here LOL. Other than that I got nothin to light up...however, my eyes did light up when I hit play.
I never really got the "chill" genre, other than [duh] its something to chill out to, sounds a little loopy and spacey and if it's anything like I've heard when people light up, it's perfect!!! This one's so sa-lo-oo-ow mo-oo-ot-ion hehe. If I had one lit up I probably would only chuckle at that, but I don't smoke, so....I'm laughing.
Free, I really like this! It's so laid back. Still amazing to me how one can listen to a whole song, all the while only extracting a certain part to make another whole song. Glad you could use the pella!! Lets get together again :-)
Thanks Patricia. It's a struggle for me to make a whole tune that doesn't somehow turn into techno, So i'm really pleased you like it.
I would have liked to have gone on but i was having some problems with a "ghost" sound from somewhere that kept tripping the levels. Now i know it converts alright without the phantom sound i'll have another go. Computers eh? I thought they were supposed to get better as time progressed.
Oh and i'd most definiteley be up for working with you again.

Now that I'm "studying" the house genre a [very] little bit more, I'm gonna take a shot at leaving a comment.
Warpy basslines, so that's what it sounds like.
3 mins later...well, I still don't know about the elements of what makes house house...but this is very live for me. And the vocals keep it live and interesting IMO. Very danceable!
yh its more speed garage than it is house really, theres a thin line between the two sometimes, the bpm is a lot faster than house is normally, more the speed of harhouse to be fair. check out some of DJ Pooch speed garage on youtube, its that sorta sound i was going for.
Here's what I think...I think you've been shiznicking us all this time as a test, and now you're bringing in the real stuff!!!
I think this is a really good start for a song. Lemme guess, you used to sing in one of those quartets, or groups, and for whatever reason you don't anymore? Always seems to work out that way, sometimes "church folk" are the worse haha.
Here's what else I think, you have the potential to write some very nice stuff, your voice is clean and clear and you have good harmonies for this type of muzic! So, what the heck are you waiting for? Don't make me curse again LOLOL.
U ALMOST GOT IT. I USED 2 PLAY 4 THOSE GROUPS. HAD 2 CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE, CLEAN AND SOBER 20 YRS. YEAH I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS. NEVER SANG OUT. JUST LISTENED A LOT. TRULY HONORED 2 HAVE UR EARS ON IT. AND VERY GRATEFUL 4 THE KIND WORDS. BIG GUNS???? I ALREADY TOOK MY SHOT, I'M RELOADING. LOL. PEACE .
So cool the ukulele and you. You should see me swaying from side to side over here. I think the vocals, especially the background, could be a bit louder.
Aw thanks Patricia, that means a lot :) The vocals in the released version were brought up and some magic production happened to make it sound more like a live recording, when I can find a copy of it I'll put it up if you like :)
Thanks.
Thanks, I have done more a completed (not 100% tho) version. I don't wanna add too many instrument to distract the vocals but I may and some ambience here and there with VSTs and also get a guitarist to do a rock/soulful style solo, after my solo part on the keys.
A little less reverb would be better for me. I'm listening on computer speakers, but there sounds like a "white noise" coming through, prob the reverb.
thanks first time being on here appreciate your comment i plan on doing alot of remixes ive been checking out your music i like it too be checking soon i also do alot of hiphop rnb pop remixes check some out soundcloud.com/ogswagbeats
How dare someone tell you what to write about!!!!! They aren't paying you to write so if they don't want to hear sad or depressing lyrics they shouldn't listen to your muzic. Course that could be a downside should it be important to you what people think, however, you can't please everyone! You'll be someone different minute to minute if you try to.
I'll share something with you though, about 10 years ago I was 10 years younger (duh lol) but my life was pretty negative for me so a lot of my lyrics more often than not reflected what was going on in my life, and if you listen to the stuff I've posted here you'll notice it's mostly negative. These days I have a different outlook, if I can't do anything about it then so be it. So I tend to write more positive songs and motivational songs and love songs cuz that's my main focus now. Sometimes the things that come out of us is just what's in us, and quite frankly some of it NEEDS to come out, looperhug!!!!!! I'm not counselor, just love sharing.
Anyway, I like that you write about "people" haha, maybe one day I'll write about Wayne, or Jack, or Abby, whoever they are :-) For me it brings things to a more realistic and human plane.
Now that I've taken up all this comment space and listened to the song twice, I should wrap it up and just good job!!!!! I LOVE GUITAR!!!!
I just love your passion and commitment to music and your eclectic approach, you do so much for this community, you are of course right and i dont usually let others dictate what i write really i just wanted to show that i can do happy, its a shame there isnt a section on this site for lyrics i have piles of them and because i often write lyrics to the music in my head i struggle to make the music i make fit the words and someone else could probably put them to good use anyway thanks for the kind words

Thanks, Patricia. I love constructive criticism. High-pitched flutes tend to blow out the high frequencies so I do edge off on gain overall. Still learning how to record. . .

Have you noticed that I went back to the original vocal finale after all that?
It just didn't quite sound as good as it did in my head at the time :/ trial and error as they say..

But yes! Have we converted you to house with this?? You know it makes sense if you make more pella's in this genre ;)

Other than that it really is a rockin tune, the muzic has a nice upbeat-ness (haha) to it and even though the song content is sad I felt like dancing!
Any suggestions? :))

I can't be sure, but the muzic and vocals may be in different keys. And the vocals are louder (tell those guys to quiet down) so I can't really tell.
