Damn dude. Nice work on this one! This beat is sick as hell. I agree with BeatMaker when he says this gives off J-Cole vibes. I get him and Miller when I hear this track.
You killed it dude. Keep doin what you do bro!!

Hey dude! Wonderful synth work you've got goin on here.
This may be just me but it feels like the drop doesn't fit with the main lead you've got. I would suggest ommiting the main lead within the drop so that the bass takes over and gives it a truly filthy, dubsteppy sound.
This will obviously require some really thought-out transitioning, but it's definitely attainable!
Hey boss. Definitely don't trash this, it's got a great chord progression and beautifully produced synths.
As ValveDriver says, it does clip a lot. I'm sure once you give this a better mix and a nice, professional master, it'll be ready enough to release! It's really lacking on the low end, which is pretty much a necessity for dubstep. Kick up the low end and cut out some highs and this track will be good to go!
Good work man! Hope to hear more from you soon. Check out my page when you can!
Thanks man I appreciate the feedback a lot! :] I have another chillstep/melodic dubstep track I haven't released yet, (mainly because I was expecting vocals which never came through), sooo I guess I might as well post it and see if you guys think my mixing/mastering is better in that one!
Hey man! This remix is amazing! It's got a real future-bassy feel to it.
Your saw pads are flawless and the little "woo!" sample you put in there is great too! It's one of those sounds you're excited to hear the next time it comes around!
Keep up the good work and check out some of my stuff too! :)
Seven Lions is a huge inspiration of mine. My music may not necessarily sound like his, but the fact that music like his is actually achievable keeps my drive going.
You've done a wonderful job with this. Absolutely amazing, really. It actually sounds like it could have been produced by Seven Lions himself!!!!
Congrats on a flawless remix. Faved and downloaded my friend. Check out some of my stuff too if you don't mind!
Hey there man! Absolutely wonderful track. Reminds me of Blackmill in many MANY aspects.
I honestly believe this is mastered pretty well. Especially for a beginner. It does focus on the midranges very heavily, but that's not always a bad thing. I've heard plenty of mixes that focused too hard on the low frequencies and ended up losing all of the touchiness of the highs and mids. This seems like it's a very good balance to me.
Other than that, I would just boost the gain a little in the master. This being because, although you did a splendid job mastering, it is still pretty quiet. The goal of mastering is not only to adjust the frequency bands but to make your mix as loud as possible without clipping as well.
Please let me know how you created the synth that starts at 1:22. I've been trying to figure it out for ages!
Fantastic job mate! Can't wait to hear your remix!
Well, let's see here. I'm not sure if you use FL but there is a plugin (an amazing one) called "Sytrus." I do a lot of repurposing and general tweaking with some of the presets.
If you can believe it, it's the same synth as the wobble that is present from beginning to end.
The preset I messed with was just simply called "Grand Piano," in Sytrus. I did a little bit of tweaking in OP 1, pulled the cut-off down to nearly 0, and did some pitch bending.
So far as the mastering and mixing, I've actually started to realize... I don't like this version. I'm going to go ahead and reupload the old one, I liked that one more.
Lol, we'll see about that remix, really depends on how my mind sets it up beforehand.
This part of the comment is for everyone, please, visit my soundcloud channel for more music of mine. I recently made a song but I couldn't get it to go on looperman what with the current filesize limit. If I brought it down to below 10Megs, I'm bringing the quality down to nearly nothing. It's a long song.
Hey mate! This is a pretty neat track. Honestly, I don't believe Malinda is off key. After all, spoken word doesn't necessarily HAVE to be on key anyways.
I also agree with TRE24 on the purpose of this site though. I like to believe we all ended up on the good ole Loop cause the universe believes we can make it to the top and only the input of the knowledgeable artists that are on here can make us the best we can be.
I also throw out the offer of any input you would like in the future. Don't hesitate to ask!
This track is pretty golden though. The steady chord progression helps it to drive along. And don't kick yourself on the drum kit, I use the same few samples for most of my songs too. Cause they FIT!! Haha
You should take a stab at my remix competition! I think you could do well!
I understand the purpose of the site. But I'm not down for criticism that is completely unjustified. I do appreciate the comments and suggestions I get on every song I upload and I do listen to people when they are being constructive. But I will also refuse to change something that doesn't need to be changed. Ill be sure to check out the remix competition. Thanks for the comment man. And I'll be sure to get a hold of you for future with any songs I may upload for some input
Holy Hell mate....this is phenomenal!! I don't think I've ever liked a dubstep song as much as I like this one
The bass sound at the beginning reminds me a lot of SNAILS, whom I idolize. Also, the chorus parts in the second verse make this track so eerie and dubsteppy. Just AGH good FRICKIN JOB!!!
This track is beautiful mate. Very uplifting and powerful. You've got a real Martin Garrix-y sound going here.
I love the implementation of that dreamy pluck synth. It reminds me a lot of a music box and reminds me of childhood. The title 'Life is Ticking' is absolutely perfect for this song because you can almost watch someone grow older as you're listening through it.
The outro is phenomenal. The synth you added in just brings the whole beauty of the song together.
Incredible job my friend. Keep up the good work and check out some of my stuff too!
There's only one issue. The low end (subs, kicks, and even part of the synth) is ridiculously high and is overpowering the rest of the mix. It also sounds like the mix is clipping a lot because of it.
The structure of this song is pretty damn unique. Good work! If you have the time, take a listen to some of my work!
Hey man! Awesome track! The chord progression is amazing and very modern house but you make it work for a dubstep song.
The only thing I would adjust is the levels of everything. The lows are really quiet while the highs are screechy and loud. It's really unpleasant for the ears. You should add a sub to boost the low end and lower the high end. Maybe even try boosting the midranges a little. If you need any help with mastering, feel free to message me too!
Otherwise I really enjoy what you did here. Good work! I'm looking forward to hearing more from you soon. Check out my stuff too if you can!
Hey man! I absolutely love this track. The ambient but hard feel to it hits me close to home.
While this track is practically FLAWLESS, there is just one thing I would edit. The snare seems a little too punchy during the verses and a little lost during the drop. To fix this I would just drop the level slightly and throw a small reverb on it to help it drive the ambiance of the song while still keeping it's punchy attitude!
Otherwise, I'm amazed at what you've done here. Keep up the good work and check out some of my stuff too :)
This track is great dude. The chord progression is pretty tight and very ambient! I especially love the tropical vibe the melody brings in around 2 minutes in!
The only feedback I could really posit is the levels of the vocals. Don't get me wrong, they fit the track PERFECTLY, it's just that they're a little (just SLIGHTLY) too loud in my opinion.
Amazing work, keep it up my friend! And check out my page if you can! :D
