I've always been in two mind about dubstep, i love thoughs big fat bass lines, but i have everything else about it! :)
As for this track u've made a right fat bass, it sound sweet. what have u done? is it just a couple off squares with loads of lfo and filtering?
Also what vst r u using, is it moog by any chance?
quite a quirky track this, i wouldn't bother with vocals in it, i would just really foces on the pacussion, and really play with the main lead with fx's.
I do like what you've done so ar though.
Its quite an unusal track, but it's not too bad at all.
The percussion wasn't all that great, u sould of varied it a little more.
Some off the synth and riffs are quite simiular to nathen fakes style (which is a good thing)but wasnt to sure about that wobbing synth or what ever it was, i would drop that and keep the rest.
Is this one track? intresting! i don't think it works with fading in and out, it makes the track sound confused! Still at least ur tying something diifrent and u also have some nice little melodys and good choise of synths within the track!
Some off the melodys are quite catchy in this track, but if im gona be honest, i would say that the synths u have chosen are pretty pants, i would also build on what pecussion u already have, but like u said you've only spent a few hour on it so far, so with a bit more time u could probally improve this ten fold, cos it's a good start, what you've done so far!
I ment to review this track earlier but was a bit busy, i couldn't not leave a review after listening to it though! This is a fantastic track, u really have a good ear for catchy melody, has some real sweet pacussion and nicely structured!
Double thumbs up on this mate and fav! :)
nice track but i would have to agree with u there are way to many small riffs going on, maybe u sould limit them to 1 or 2 riffs and have a catchy melody on top. but for what it is, its not to bad you've chosen some nice syths for the track and i'm sure with a bit more work it could be very good! anyway keep up the good work!
Good track here mate, some nice sidechaining with your main melody.
Also very crisp and clear! What do you use to master your tracks with?
Keep up the good work.
ey thanks man, i used just fl studio stuff like fruity parametric EQ 2, fruity compressor etc, this might show u a bit more what i did to make it :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh4bcZ7xmd4
hey dave. i used nexus for the bass. i have the xp bass pack on my nexus2. so it has a lot of good presets. i am still new in the plugins, so i dont know how to build up a nice fat bass "yet" ;)
Good choise in daw, i've been using ableton for nearly a year now, it's just so user friendly, have you checked the fx's in dj and peformence? there very good, the fade to grey is a personal fav of mine.
It's not a bad start but you really need to build on this track, cos is sound like you just made a 32 bar loop and copy and pasted it for the whole track.
But like i said you have a good foundation to make somthing good here.
thanks. you're right. this was first track i made in ableton so i rushed it rather than finishing it. since then i started around 10 projects barely finishing any of them. hopefully i'll get some ideas in the future to finish them properly.
Nice track, you have some good sounds going on in here.
There are a few points in the track that seem a bit flat and repetitive , i think a few more (possibly moldic) samples would really pick this track up.
Keep up the good work.
Nice track, but i would loose the vocals, it sounds like it in the wrong key and it just seems out off place in genral. the rest of the track is great tho.
haja yeah I know I had a mistake.... anyway thnks for your comment! Im gonna try to do it better next time :D and sorry about my english xD Im very mexican! (Y)
