very cool everything works well together, it has a sense of progression which is always good. Doesn't feel like its going nowhere.
BUT i would say currently it feels a little bland, you mention your going to add keys, that will most certainly fix it i think, some underlying chords, a melody or something on the keys should do the trick :D

There are about 7 or 8 people here that put out live instrument based music, and I usually stick to listening to them, and other random rock-ish stuff that springs up here from time to time. HEY MAN! great remix, you took it in your own direction which i liked, you didn't just replace 1 thing you made it your own, which the best remixes always do.
That intro is pretty cool, makes the piano pretty unrecognisable from mine :D, also the shakers at around 1min are a nice touch.

If it was me making the track i would have used the 'ahh' sounds from the start and maybe used them throughout the song, with some reverb and delay, so they have even more of a purpose, but thats just an idea i had while listening.
