Nice use of Bon Jovi's Wanted. The sample is real tight. How'd you do it? I'm trying to teach myself how to use samples like this. I NEVER get my samples this tight.
I don't agree with this needing bigger bass, it's understated and it works for this beat. How do you write your drum lines? Do you use MiDi and 'pencil' them in or do you use a drum machine/ and or samples? I like your drum lines. Let me know. PEACE.
Yo, I LOVE this one man! It has a kinda sad and lonely feel to it. I'd love to add some strings to it. Send me the file (if you have Reason 4 that'd be great because then I could see the sample(s) layout). What software did you record this in? Whats the BPM? Hit me up!
Pretty good! How did you make the drum bpm's so quick and the sample lyrics slow? I have tried to do that before and cannot figure it out. How'd ya' do it? Thanks! Nice job.
Damn good for your first try! I've been making beats for a few years and I can't get my beats to sound like true hip hop! Wish I could! Nice job, really.
That's pretty good man. What software/hardware did you use on this? How'd you get the drum beat to match up so well? I have a lot of problems using samples and making the beat match up. Can you tell me how you do it? Nice job man.
its actually 2 different tracks, 1 with the vocals removed which i rapped over and the original, i just lined em up best i could then silenced one or the other, the thunder kinda hides imperfection too. appreciate the review, the track without the vocals was uploaded by a fellow looperman and it took about 4 hours to do the lyrics and mix.
It needs more BASS. I say that to alot of LM members, but this one REALLY needs a nice low sub that BUMPS. This could be a REAL BANGER. Nice job though.
I like this. Great and original. What do you use to mix? I cannot get a good mix. Mine are always kind of muffled. Where did you learn to mix? Is there a secret? PEACE.
Thanks!
Well.. unfortunately there is no secret. It just happens. I remember those times when I just started to learn using Fruity Loops.. everything was just not very well sounding.. But now all that does it is just the limiter, compressor on few necessary tracks and the rest is just what my ears tell me to do [panning & volumes]. I've never really known how to mix.. I've never went through tutorials about mixing either.. maybe because I am too lazy for that. But this website and its members really inspire me so I might get down to exploring things more techically.
Good man! How do you mix it so well? I cannot for the life of me get a good mix like that. Listen to some of my stuff and you'll see what I mean. WHAT am I doing wrong? PEACE.
