This is a real head nod. But the kick maybe to much. But overall sick track. I love the intro.

on Willy and The Basement Rockers - Equalize by WillyTheWonka
I really Am i excited to hear more but that snare seems a bit loud though.
WillyTheWonka
WillyTheWonka replied 6th Oct 2014 - 10 years ago
Yeah I always get the "high-mid" sounds like snares and claps either to loud or too quite. On my headphones they sound extremely loud, but on my monitors they kind of fit in well. On yet another soundsystem they were too far in the background. I guess I have to rework my room-acoustics again... :D

It sounds like Dipset/Juelz stuff in 2005. The sample sounds familiar but I cant put my finger on it. Maybe more stabs to it would help but it is okay now.

on I Tried Produced by NUK by Goodmemories
yes like BEATZMODE said re filter that sample because it makes me think my head is underwater. But man the simple chops on this track makes it so hard. nice track. Maybe make different chops for more transitions. But that crash/ride is sick though along with the percussion nice work.

on Illuminati Hip Hop Banger by DeLaBeatz
Dope melody and a real head nodder. I like how it has just the right amount of elements to make it bounce. The 909 kick maybe to strong for the 808 though. Nice beat though.

on Tour Guide by GalanticMusic
these are some dope drums. I think there are to many elements to flow over. Mainly the high strings and piano riff are bothering me. But dope foundation. But this is just my opinion if i were to flow over it. but nice groove and rhythm.

GalanticMusic replied 21st Oct 2014 - 10 years ago
Thanks! and I hear you on that! sometimes I make beats and not to intend anyone in it, so I add some extra sounds kinda like to feel in the gap lol...

on The Carnival by StaticProjekt
The dubstep/hip hop mix is great. I just wish you had another element to take some of the work off the main melody. You could bounce to audio chop and flip or make it choppy liek the wooble to add some variation but they are just suggestions. But very good beat though.

I love the depth of this track. That boxed snare seems like it is creeping up behind me. But yeah nice work.

on 5letters by undergounddude
nice rhythmic feeling. But that kick is weird for some reason to me (too hollow and no depth for hip hop). I liek the rest of the beat btu I can get over that kick though.
undergounddude
undergounddude replied 21st Aug 2014 - 10 years ago
yeaa i know what you mean, i tried some different kicks, this one fits well i think, i put a longer and updated version on soundcloud idont know if you alreadyy checked out but looper version is kinda shit because i messed up with some effects on dat sample and other stuff.

thanks for your opinion as well, i had the same thoughts with the kick , but like i said , this one fits well for me :D

peace!

on AlexFuzemaker - No More Weapons by AlexFuzemaker
I like mellow feeling. BUT WHAT IS UP WITH THE WESTCOAST WHISTLE? I do not understand why you have it. Hypothetically speaking, it sounds like you took A Tribe Called Quest track and added some Nate Dogg feeling to it. but the rest of the beat is sick. But the whistle in my opinion does not add any feeling to it.

AlexFuzemaker replied 26th Aug 2014 - 10 years ago

I love the sample flip head nodding hard but mellow sound to it. The chorus needs some work because it sounds out of tune. but I do not know why you changed it up I wish you would have kept the same sample throughout.

on Infamuz-Talk to Em by Infamuz
This is the song you should have made a video to. It has more feeling that the video you put up. But its dope though. And you hold the song by yourself (no need for the feature with Kwezzo or whatever his name was).

When I hear this song i think of a inner city child running through the streets trying to survive in a wasteland filled with crime and pain. You should definitely shot a video to this.

Not to be an opportunists but you should definitely find a track for that could encompass feeling and that can be played on the radio because people are willing to hear what you have to say being that you are from St Louis.

But the chorus is dope so is the beat. Keep up the work. If your mixtape has the same energy as this song then I will definitely download it.

Infamuz replied 21st Aug 2014 - 10 years ago
Thanks I appreciate the great feedback! I'm planning a video shoot for this one now, should be done in the next 2 weeks. I chose to do this one first because Kwezzo actually got deployed to the middle east and i wanted to make sure I had footage and content before he left since that outcome is unpredicatable. The mixtape is filled with content like this from all different moods and perspectives. Its on Datpiff and Itunes if you're interested ( Infamuz "My Testimony) Thanks once again.

on Fire away - looking for a vocalist by johnnyproducing
I love hollow sounds so you had me once the verse started. I think the string hits need to be darker. Nice Piano and 808. Do you usually do Hip Hop? But yeah i was watching videos and see more and more electronic producers jumping on hip hop tracks to give it a different sound. But nice work
johnnyproducing
johnnyproducing replied 11th Aug 2014 - 10 years ago
Well maybe I should indeed use some darker string hits to fit in better, but I am glad you like this.

mm I can't say I usually do much of the hiphop genre, but if you go back then that's basicly what I first produced.
But it's hard for me to say if I usually do something or not since I produce in a lot of different styles

Mm maybe the upcoming of a new genre, making me the one that now lays the foundation hahaha but just kidding though ;)

Thanks for leaving a comment

Also a note to others that will listen this,
there is a small error in the kick rise to the second verse, the filter I put on that kick didn't go off so it now just does that rise unfiltered which sounds unfinished, will reupload it soon fixed

on Do or Die Trying by RaptureOfficialMusic
Is it an intro? I love it. I love how you speak over it with so much feeling. If you going for rapping then it does not have a cadence to it. But if you going to speak over it I think you should use the beat as back ground noise to set the vocal as a priority over the instrumental. But listen to BIG KRIT's WTF off his King Remembered in Time album if your trying to rap over. He does something interesting with his flow.

YOU REALLY NEED A STUDIO. You need lay verse professionally. This track hits home. Both of you are talented. Great work. That sample though... SICK. It brings that old Jim Crow's Ice Cream Parlor feeling to mind.
