Realy good track mate, I wrote you this long review about how much I enjoyed listening to this track, the reverbed beat, the presence of the subtle melody in the back ground and the perfect vox on it. Nice one!The server bombed me and all was lost so here is my shortened version.

Nice variarion on the second part. Nice choppage mate I can hear the cymbal ride shortened in there and the reverb on the snare layered with fx. Nice one!

Funny enough....the arrangement is well off beat and nothing close to what any artist do today...I do feel this but I don't know where to class this. That sample ,tik tok, sounds kinda cool in there. The hats are to sharp IMO this might work with the right vocal on it,as in a bridge somewhere????

on a dope by tedman
Listening now......drums are tight...synth comming in. Bass layered....The bass is full and the synth fits good to, but check into your drums it sounds a bit weak....The bass is over powering the beat. Nice break you got going there mate. The bass should be brought down a tad bit. Overall production pretty good. Try to add more one shots in the track to make it sound interresting it does not need much though here and there a delayed reverb vocal or blip or bleep. Noice one!!!

on King Kong by EMPIRE
It's a cool track but very generic mate, I hear this type of vibe at every club, productions good as per usual and beats are tight and snappy! Do you have compression on your low end???Sub sits nice in the mix and a good dance filler for the commercial crowd.

on Most Hated Colaboration by EMPIRE
Dude excellent use of samples ,my friend just love it!!!!Wow proper bro, the sample you can just drop the volume on that a bit over powers the vocal. LOtsa movement in the beats and pumping beats mate you deserve a standing ovation for this. Looking forward to hear more stuff off you mate. Think about this....maybe RAP on drum and bass beats??Tech step?

on ameli go down under by sikmooocka
Your tune is to loud Ameli, you should tone your mixer levels down a tad, the sound is distorting. The arrangement is kind cinematic and the feel is good. Sort the mastering bit's out and mixing repost, give me a holla and I'll check it again.

really like this....nice subtle intro. What do you use to make your pad sounds???Hava Nice feel to it nice vocal proper for this track giving me a laid back sound. The stutter type loop works well and the froggy throat layered in the back ground. Like you style mate update me when you upload new stuff .

on G30 Original Mix by SerialChiller
Wow nice tune mate, the guitar suits it and fits the entire track, your music reminds me of budha bar music, I can hear the same vst plugin effect on the guitar again, gives it that distant feel, with a touch of reverb and delay onto it. IMO make the bass less pronounced, I feel the arrangement is so good you do not need to attract attention with loud power bass. Your eq sounds good to I cant barely hear any frequencies clashing mate. Proper job and well done, another favorite for me.

Love it mate love it!!!!You got the essence of the sea in this with the ongoing pad in it's state. Nice drums proper and snappy, what DAW you using mate???? really like the bass sitting nice in the mix. The break works for me, panning those pads does work wonders and nice effect VST on the nylon string guitar mate, feeling it big time, checking out your other tunes to,...favorited...noice!!!

on FRUSTERATION by KattWinter
I think that distorted vocal was intended blue transit. She was trying to use it as an FX vocal, but applied it wrong. You should use a vst plug in, like a vintage warmer and add it to the track your recording your vocals on. Try to eq out all the bad frequencies to,somewhere between 300 to 800hz. Keep at it and read up on mastering techniques or just pm slap he is good and can help you. Also go to computer music website loadsa free stuff

on All those songs;Jump the Q by SLAPJOHNSON
Production wise your music is the best in here mate, sounds proper quality mastering . The horns might seem a bit to loud at there peaks???Maybe volume automate them and bring it down a bit as to compressing it and making the sound seem unnatural? Love the congas coming in at 1:41 gives a real feel to the track, funny no one mentioned it. Just those horns , sounds great ,layered to perfection , but at some peaks its difficult to hear the vocalist. I might be wrong though, using Sennheiser HD 202, any good MR SLAP????

Work on the mixing mate.where did you get that samples of mr X?
inkybreath
inkybreath replied Unknown
I know it's rough, but this is one I prefer to just leave be. I made this in 2000, I think and had just found the loops online somewhere (it's all Martin Luther King Jr, not Malcolm X, by the way).

But, many thanks for the reply. I always enjoy the critical comments..

all the best,

i.b.
