Hi mate, I've uploaded a new song that I've sung over the top of this one. It's nowhere near perfect, but I didn't want to spend too much time on it and end up becoming bored of it.
Love the intro, and even wished it was a bit longer.
Really nice tune though, it put a smile on my face and made me want to go out in to the sunshine and have a dance in the streets! Shame I live in the U.K. and it's cloudy outside though.
I strangely quite liked this, it definitely has a hypnotic feel to it and it drew me in until the end.
Although if I had had any input on the track itself, I would have tried to mix the vocals a little quieter and with maybe a little added reverb and/or delay.
I agree man. However, I'm nearly deaf tone deaf for sure and can carry a tune in a bucket or sing worth a damn. That being said, I would have mixed the vocals differently if I could have told the difference. I can't really tll hat's too loud and what's not. And my age, I forget everything new I learn and my Parkinson's has progressed to where my slurring and monotone vocals are a shame. Thanks fr the review and the critique, I took it to heart. vic
Thank you mildperil! Appreciate that you listened to the whole track. Dr. Octagon is great in my opinion too :)I had more vocals ready for this track, but then I used just the most important ones.. Not that others was not, but it would fill the track a bit too much then... Have a great day! Peace
It reminds me of something I just can't quite put my finger on, and I'm sat here trying to remember what it is.
Definitely a throw back to an earlier time, which is absolutely a compliment, as I've heard a few people just lately attempting to recreate a similar sound, and they didn't quite pull it off.
Man, you really know how to paint a picture with your music. Each track that I've listened to of yours takes me on a bit of a journey, and that is some talent.
Again Mr Peril thank you for exploring my stuff. So pleased you're liking it so much.
When I listen to others I'm usually off on a journey of some kind. Sometimes it's an inner one.
When I create this stuff I'm hoping to achieve what I look for in my enjoyment of music from here and the established artists of the world.
So picture place emotion journey is what I'm always trying to paint.
Again much thanks.
That was a proper journey of music. I could easily lie down with my eyes closed listening to this, and imagine myself in a completely different place altogether. Well, I did kind of do that, it's just I was sitting up in my chair!
The only criticism I have, is that it just wasn't long enough. I could have easily listened to this for double the length of time and not get bored. Loved it.
I really like this, so much so that I listened to it twice in a row. It does have a slightly unfinished sound, but for me, that is half the charm.
Personally, I would have liked to hear the drums come through a bit more and be more of a driving force, and I'm quite certain if more people listen and comment, then it will be mentioned that the mix needs more work. Luckily, there are plenty of people here that can help you should you so wish.
Great début track though, and looking forward to hearing more stuff from you in the future. Keep it up! :)
Thank you Mildperil. U b right.... Mix needs much more. The drums are from another session I played on (orig like 105 bpm). But I kinda liked the feel and energy of that particular groove. I actually brought the drums in 2 track instead of dragging all 8 tracks into the song. Had a hella time warping the Premier Signia kit 2 track into time. Warping 8 tracks of drums may b beyond my level at this time. Any suggestions on making the mix better is super welcome. I'm a drummer and have a long way to go learning audio engineering. Could I get some more help from you more experienced producers? Thanks so much in advance.
Although it's definitely not my favourite genre of music, this totally had me sucked in. Reminded me of Dr. Octogan from way back when. Very good tune.
It sure did dip a bit in the middle, but hopefully not in quality.
I needed to join these different sections together and legato, ambient chill was what I decided seemed to work. I guess you preferred the hard and heavy stuff but I had to find a way to transition smoothly and chillout is easy to go into and come out of.
Yes, it came back very strong for the final heavy movement. I like the addition of the synth arps to set that heavy section apart from the earlier ones.
No, don't really need any lyrics here but, as always, the right sort of vocalist could certainly make some work.
Brilliantly written song. Not usually my genre of music, but I totally believed what I was listening to, I can still hear the tune in my head as I write this. Thanks for sharing :)

Would have liked to have heard more vocal, but the track itself was interesting enough, and I listened right 'til the end.
Really enjoyed it, and thanks for sharing :)

Had me listening right to the end, and it certainly didn't feel like 7 minutes either, which is most definitely a compliment.
Thanks for sharing :)
If you're interested I have another 70+ tracks on Soundcloud but I didn't use loops from here on them.

I've half written a song to go with this, so with a bit of luck the rest of it comes together and it turns out okay.

This is so much better than some of the nasty gangster rap that tends to be in the mainstream.

It also sounds ripe for some lyrics over the top, but even without anything added it's still a high quality track.
