BTW, being inspired by such things as a bug u saw is awesome, and a sign of a true artist

We love us some EDM and trance, it brings us back to our club days. This one is pretty good as is, but it still has some potential. I see you use Mixcraft, which Im only a little familiar with. When Im faced with a similar situation, I will go and extract the stems from the song, and using those, extend the track with a blend of new material and old. Turns out well most of the time, im currently working on something where I had to do this. If u dont have a way of doing this, I could do it for you. Anyway, nice work. - Pnnywze of the Monzder Squadd

I might I would have to see. Honestly the Melody isnt that hard to replicate and I still remember how I made it. I think it would be easier to recreate it.

Nice track. One can clearly envision the bug for your inspiration. I would like to hear the finished version and consider it worthwile to recreate its (sudden) ending. Good job!

lol. I try to make my tracks I make something one can envision so I tried. Honestly, even though I didn't finish this one, I still think it's one of my better ones. Thanks for giving it a listen!

Has the potential to flow into a full on EDM track - you catch the essence of the present instinct of a bug v well - I have one in the kitchen - massive spider which I keep at bay with cinnamon lines - keep going with it - the essence of The Who's Boris the Spider with EDM would be something!

haha! I would have to re-create this from scratch if I kept going. I lost the project file. Maybe it's worth it though. I don't think it would be too hard to do.

nice work Koga, like all the little builds going on in this work, like that synth saw bass as the bug and the drums are like the riser at the end it was a fresh listen on a gorgeous day here in the UK
koga100
koga100 replied 23rd May 2026 - 3 days ago
I appreciate it! I really wish I didn't lose the project because I liked where it was going. I think it's really easy to imagine the bug I saw that day. Also, I don't think I knew you we're in the UK! That's really cool!

just seen you swapped it, the intro guitar is good just 5 seconds to long for my liking :)) you know the drops coming and it was cool, i think the vox are a good fit too bro, its got dubstep parts but i think its more a fusion of genres with the lazers and synths taking the industrial part of regular dubstep, its original and something different too, thats what music does to ya, always think outside the box koga, being different it always a good thing, nice work

koga100 replied 30th Jun 2024 - 1 year ago
I agree with that! If you just do what everyone else does you will only ever blend in. Plus its harder to keep a genuine fan base. Up til this I was mostly just having fun bug I think Im ready to get more serious so Im going to start including better chords and vocals. Two things Ive been scared to really master. I hope you noticed how well Mixed this one was. It was made in 2 hrs. And I cant wait to share the collab im working on!

That's a nice track, the sounds are good and clean in my opinion. Not easy to mix these big synth sounds (been trying to learn a lot about that myself), keep going you are doing well!

Late reply but yes it is challenging. Im going to soon be going over the mix again. I think theres plenty to correct.

Hi, here's a couple of suggestions for a track title for this: "Termination", or "Judgement"

bro nice to see you around, thats one loud brash return the first half is kick your face in and the second half a subdued entry then more rampage, great mix. the bass is savage that razor saw is so sharp great synth works, its explosive, that will wake you up if your sleeping. good drums and synth stabbs plenty changes too to keeps the intrest , nice work koga, there you go for a title bro
'explosive motive' its got a menace to it
like that siren bit like a cop car gone wrong or a wonky cat meow :))

I'm glad you liked this one! This was the first track I actually managed to get what I envisioned. So, I think I'm improving to the point of translating what I have in mind to the DAW. I plan to take a drastic change of direction after this one. There's a story I want to tell through the notes that'll be euphoric that's more of a bitter sadness. I started working on yesterday. I want to do this version because I'm trying to learn a new chord pattern and to work with. Bit by bit I'm picking up the basics without any teachers but that's challenging. Even more so since I have ADHD, sitting down and learning not my forte. Anyway, thanks for the listen Dimestop!

nice synth work Koga great heavy bass and the beat is hot too. i used to dance alot to electronic and EDM music being a street dancer for years and although i do write and sing vocals on a few genres, electronic and trap seem to give me a struggle, i find it difficult to get on the beat or come up with something relevant so i cant even offer a hand bro, but nice work i know you were looking forward to sharing your new work

I struggled with this one like you mentioned you did too. I resulted to using a method I don't usually use and that's manually typing my music using my Keyboard on my laptop. That seems to help a ton. I might practice doing that more.

Also, this isn't the large project I hinted towards. I was just taking a break making something I enjoy. I have plans to still get the larger project out but along the way I'll be re-creating some of my old VSTs and update them.

I can't remember exactly what my original inspiration was when making the first one, but I do know in remixing it I got these ideas and leaned into it more. Seems a lot of people are enjoying this one anywhere I post it. Thanks for giving a listen~!

I was lucky to get to update this one! That OLD USB drive I Found with projects on it, this was one of the original tracks I made was on it. turns out that even back then I was working on a remix and decided to finish. I have some other unfinished Electronic Focused music I never posted. I'll be working on those soon!

I tried it out on one of my own videos. If it in the right context it works quite well! I used it for background music in a racing sim video.

I really like the feeling of this. Its bouncy and dancey but also has a dark synth vibe to it. You picked good sounds.

I think having a bigger build up would really help. In the beginning you have the lead fade in slowly which is good but you can also have your snare fade in and get faster as you near the drop. Or you can add a white noise riser to really create tension.
I hope that helps. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the reply, I was considering making it longer, but I felt I had it about just right honestly. That suggestion in the beginning tho, Imma try it and see how it sounds.

Thanks for the input. ^_^

nice update Koga it does sound better and tbf bro the first upload was good, EQ can be a bugger to get right i can use up to 8 different ones on my work sometimes its difficult to tell though, the use of a limiter as made a difference here, something i was told many times from our friends in the community i know use one all the time as you can alter the low mid and highs to your ears, they are your best piece of kit, ive got some big ass ears :))
it feels more balanced to me, and i will be truthful ive forgotten the first one, if this was my first comment it would have been good work bro, but that's no help really if you get me, again that was my opinion we all here things differently and it really does boil down to personal choice. and remember bro always believe in you first, if you don't agree with someone's opinion let them know, but the good guys here like me want the very best for everyone, we grow together, I'm looking forward to more of your work Koga

It's prob all how you twist it, but I felt the original was lacking a good foundation so hence the gutting of it. I still have the original uploaded on YouTube but yeah. I think I'm a lot happier here. There might be a few finite tweaks I'll make here and there. If it wasn't for the criticisms, I prob would've never made this version.

Thank you for taking a second look ^_^
