hei jhonny, really nice flow and harmonize dude.. may i take a few part of your remix? .. just wanna make dubstep or somekinda DnB for non commercial to share each other. hope you give permission :) .respect
Hi. I've been meaning to give this some detailed appraisal for the last few days.
I heard yours but had never heard of the song so went and checked it out as well as one remix. I preferred those two to yours but yours still sounds good. I would say it sounds excellent but I've heard those other two so it gets lower marks in comparison. I hope that makes sense!
I'll give more detail later (though I'm comparing 3 tracks against each other so a little complicated) but will say for now that I would have preferred yours to have been more different from the original. So, in a very different genre, for instance ie transporting the track into a different style eg a metal version or a dub version etc
Anyway, it still sounds cool as I'm listening back to it now so well done. More later...
Well I completely understand what you try to say but this is my second attempt at making a remix and of course I won't do so good then as the other artists that made like 10 or more remixes haha. So in other words I am still learning the ropes and just trying stuff as I go along
Mm so you would have rather seen a genre change for the remix, I will think of this for a next remix since it seems like an interesting thing to try. But the general feel of this track is in my opinion already pretty different from the original.
Thanks for the comment StaticNomad I appreciate it ;)
Hi Johnny....what impresses me most about this is that for a young guy you are bringing in a lot of non-traditional stuff..most artists seem to be more concerned about emulating the artist(s) they like (and I guess thats where we all start).the instrumentation is quite different...and to me that always suggests that the musical imagination & creativity is working....good for you...keep making it your own and not a copy of somebody else...Ed
Hey Ed,
I really appreciate your comment.
It is true that most people reproduce what they hear and that is no problem since the audience enjoys listening to music that sounds like the general music. However after a while all the music will then sound the same and that would leave the audience with the same kind of songs of which they would become bored after a while.
Maybe my music differs from this because I keep changing things till I like it myself enough, but with upcoming colabs you can't escape from making things that sound mainstream (but I like to make that too)
I will try to follow your advice and keep producing my own way and I think it is really cool that my songs impress you. Had no idea they were so non traditional haha
well...this is pro stuff Johnny...its chart stuff all the way and the vocal sits really well in what is a big brick wall limited mix....really well done...and please dont take it as a criticism, but if you backed off the limiting on the music mix to a softer knee those bouncy synth dynamics would shine even more....good job.... keep on...Ed
Haha I wouldn't call this pro stuff but I appreciate the comment ;)
Mm so I should kick the limiter down a bit, I will keep that in mind for next time, should practice a bit in mastering the limiter haha
Thanks for the kind comment Ed ;)
Cool track with some great vocals. If that's you, great job. I don't think I got the full effect, though, since I had to turn it way down when the bass kicked in. The walls were shaking!
Hahaha that is awesome to hear ;) I would enjoy it when the walls are shaking , had no idea the bass would hit so hard.
Thanks scott for the kind comment
Nice work, don't get me wrong. One flaw I did hear, however, was that you had some things way too loud, in this case the bass freqs and the piano. it was hard to hear the full clarity in them as they are amazing already. Just a little feedback for future works ;D
Haha glad someone noticed, I noticed it while uploading that I should have turned down the master more since the waveform hits the ceiling resulting in reduction of clarity of course. Will keep it in mind and maybe I will update this one soon to fit in better ;)
