Moving along nicely! I like the intrinsics of the arrangement as it goes along.
Keep at it, this is nice.

Thanks...
A few things I'm not sold on yet, I think the bouncing guitar
maybe just a little to bouncy... If you get my drift...
I intend to kick it around a bit more...

Thanks again for stopping in and commenting...

I see I missed this one (and a lot of other favs) while I was out playing in the sun...I`m thinking you were having some fun doing this one...when our first little guitar band was done I recall playing with my Brother`s group and they had a keyboard player...what a difference it makes...a lot more versatility/options...but I could never talk my fellow players away from covers & into something more creative..so its a nice treat to listen to the result when two musicians travelling different roads get something together...Just a nice cruising kind of vibe that carries you along with it...good listening out my way TG....great stuff....Ed

Thanks...Ed...
As you can tell I like to push myself at times, doing things that
make me stop and think for a moment...
Just trying to play in a simple format, can change the way you
think about Music...
I don't try to be perfect anymore, just having fun with grooves
that feel good to me...And are road worthy... :-)

Thanks again my Man...

Wow TG, this is tight!
I really dig those blues pentatonic runs. Very cool over the hip hop groove. You don't hear much of that. At least I haven't. I heartily agree with Katz and DJ regarding more separation between the bass line and that synth. The bass is loosing the battle there. It may not be just a volume thing but I would want the bass way more dominant. Of course its up to you but play around with it and see what you think. Good luck with this and I hope you give us a listen to the final edit.

Thanks...
Looking for and found a sound of my own I think, can't get away
from sounding a like because of the gear...
But you don't have to play it like everyone else, nowhere near the
box...But I love the Pocket... :-)
As well the bass was not done by me, so I can't tinker with the main
track to much...Start trying to pull the bottom and you will pull
mud with it...sorta...
Time will tell if the final will be posted...

Nice work. Has cool edges of hip hop and blues, and then that seventies synth solo was perfect. I love how the arrangement builds on itself. This is sublime. (BTW guitar work was spectacular)

Groovy guy...greets you!

Fantastic guitar work...floating melodies and your rhythms on guitar are stunning...
Was hard sometimes cause the synths are too loud but it wasn't a problem for you...
Cool track...

I was just trying to do something simple, on guitar maybe the synths
were a touch over the mark, like you said not a problem for me...
I like that edge, that border line... That's where all the fun is... :-)

Hum....Just trying to do things a little different, then I have been
not easy to say, what you want all the time...Most wouldn't get it...
I guess sometime it's better to dance with it , then try to fight it
and go off the wall some where, then try to make it sound good...
This was simple and to the point, no magic here...Just a good feel...

soundhound replied 21st Jun 2015 - 10 years ago
Is that not what happens when there is a voice, that's only because
of the forward placement of the guitar...
Once a voice is added there will be 3 emotions, sure you can handle
it... :)

Hey TG, this is a melding of two really talented people. The addition of that tasty guitar work of yours really did take this one to another level. I look forward to the phase of development - you just might have yourselves a hit here. Outstanding work as usual. Thanks for posting it for all of us. I hope all is well.

As I started playing this ...Bear...I was just trying not to get in the way
and dance on the harmonics already in place...
Hit do they still have such a thing, be that as it may I'm just hoping
to make a good song out of it...But you never know...

I'm Mad as hell and not going to take it! ;) I like this :D Hahaha Golden Earing's Radar love has that effect of pushing the gas pedal a bit too hard too :p I'd like to hear that bass guitar slightly louder in the mix, always like hearing the bass driving the tune along (personal preference). Like that lead guitar, very nice :D and the way it leads into the lead synth, trading off. A+++ work :p

Glad you like it, just having fun keeping my chops sharp...
Well he played the bass sounds like keys to me, not a bass guitar
so I had nothing to do with that, just the 2 guitar parts...

nice touch with that wrap up motif at the end. I really enjoy the "bed track" as you describe it. Makes so clear to me how important that background foundation is. And that it sustains continuously with all sorts of interesting variation speaks so much to me about how to possibly approach this chill genre. Always learning from your stuff brother. Always enjoying. best regards. Dan

It's all about the ears and understanding what you are hearing...
I love harmonics and dancing with in their borders, by using as
little movement a possible so not to disturb or change but weave
in between dancing with all the instruments involved ending or
beginning on any one of them in the picture...
Never did liked dancing to fast anyway, I'm a hold them close
kinda guy... :)

Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for your kind words...

Peace...TG.
