Great beat. Easy to throw down on. Only suggestion is to raise or lower the horn that sounds off tune 2/3 in during the drop. Not sure if you wanted it off tune though. Other than that it's good. -Peace
now that's a truly masterpiece! a like the jungly beats, bass and the rest elements are perfect! my fav is background! dark and serious! thank you very much for the track and for sharing! straight to mp3 player! ;)
"only the bass and drums are getting squashed the other sounds keep their dynamics mostly"
That's a good point and may well be why it works well.
"waterphone yes almost every eerie sound you hear in horror movies is made by one of these"
Yes, it is a weird, unsettling sound. But surely you're forgetting about the use of the theremin in movie soundtracks. I'd guess it's used more than the waterphone. I used it in a track about 13 years as I got a friend who had one to come round and make some noises with it, which I recorded. I don't think he could really play it at the time (damn hard instrument to play!) but it's still quite cool in the track, which I must open up again and improve, especially as my production skills have improved a lot in 13 years.
Yes, your track is of a type I recognise from late night aggressive-sounding dark club music. Powerful stuff that will do your head in a bit if you're having a bad drug trip.
I dunno if it's why it works well but it's why it sounds loud.
good point do you know of a good theremin emulation vst instrument?
There's tons of music that will do your head in if you're having a bad trip. Dark and aggressive music such as this is the norm in the underground dance music scenes.
Hi. This is some damn powerful stuff. I would normally find such a loud, blocky waveform a problem but it seems fine with this sort of banging, aggressive music.
I like the very first sound. I think there's a weird, high atonal instrument called something like a waterphone after that.
Then massive drums and then huge bass.
Definitely trippy, unsettling stuff. People will go mad for this in a dark club.
A bit too atonal and unsettling for my tastes but it's some really well made and huge music.
horse is dead but the tail is still alive, and its looking at me and tries to speak with me... sounds crazy but this picture is what i saw in my mind when i listened to this track! :D excellent track!!! :)
Zombieme, I really like this. Specifically, the ethereal, rolling nature of the tune. I liked the percussive elements of the tune, but it seems that with the level of the sub kick, there should have been a punchier, more pronounced kick, and a more prominent snare to go with it, to help drive it along and fill in the spaces. The vocals were a nice touch. I wish there would have been more. Maybe just weaved into the tune as it's own instrumental layer until you get to where it is now, where it really jumps out and takes the stage. That part I really liked. All in all, these are just my opinions on an already great track. Keep 'em coming.
hello mate thanks for the comment. If you listen to my other tunes and my drum loops big kicks and snares are kinda my thing but I thought I'd leave em out of this one and glich up the percussion a bit for a change. As for the vocals well I would have liked there to be more but believe it or not i didn't sing them haha. It's a sample I basically wrote the song around that vocal snippet. You'd be more than welcome to remix this if you'd like I could send you the samples, the stems, the midi files etc. All the best. Z

I was a dj in nightclubs for years and this the type of stuff I'd play towards the end of the night.
