I don't think the vocals are half bad at all...they work with the vibe on this song real well. Interesting track and it sounds good. Feels like it could use one good solo in a Santana type vibe. Nice job,
The over all mix is not that bad. I think you need to EQ a couple things and make the instruments pop a little more and get rid of the faint buzz. I think the vocals are not bad but need work in spots and maybe some EQ. Over all nice job.
This is pretty sweet man. I agree with peril, i can also hear a bit of fuzziness. It could be possible white noise, which isn't that hard to clean up. But otherwise, it's still a pretty solid mix and the vocals are spot on. Skilled production. peace
I can hear a little fuzziness in the back near the end but aside from that it's pretty clean not that far off professional quality mastering wise, I wouldn't bother investing in any monitors personally I've never used them in my life lol
Anyway back to the point lol, This is a great production everything has clarity nothing is drowning anything out. no mudiness, I wouldn't worry too much you'll keep getting better and your already on the right path!
Good Work!
I really like the concept you have here. A bit of a Star Wars meets Major Tom.
Two small issues I think could make this track a bit better. The vocals are a bit pitchy, but far from bad, and the hi-hat doing steady eighth notes. I feel it should be quarter notes at some points. Using more than one hi-hat sound would also help break it up some.
I'm relatively new to drum programming, but I think this could help some. There are others on here that can give you MUCH better constructive feedback. Set your track to "Featured", comment on another's track, and your track will get much more notice.
Hey thanks for the advise. I'm not entirely new to the process but I do get a bit lazy when it comes to drums. I'll change it up and you can have another go at it :)
As for pitchy vocals.... I'm partial to the weirdness that comes out when I'm singing. I wouldn't know what to do if I sounded more professional :)
Yeah, I noticed after I made my comments that you recorded it on a Blue Snowball. That explains it. I thought you used a DAW, thats why I couldnt understand why it sounded like that.
But like i said, the song is actually very cool. Would like to hear it in a decent recording.
Well, the song actually rocks. The vocals don't sound too bad but the actual melody and chorus are great. I can hear a catchy song there. Nice length too.
But the recording is horrible. I know it's punk so I'm not expecting perfection, but the audio almost kills the song.
Like I mentioned earlier, the vocals aren't bad. But pretty much everything else is.
This song really kicks. If it had a cleaner sound (again, not talking commercial pop) it would be one of my favs.
Having said all that, if this is exactly how you meant it to sound, then ignore my comments :)
COOOL...SO COOOL...This is unique here...your voice is absolutely fit for this style...Ramones was the last band I loved those 1.30 around songs...dope...
