Awesome track. Hooked me on from the beginning. The lyrical work is incredible and the reverb added a lot to the meaning. The whole work is very deep and is something that forces the listeners to really think hard about what you spoke about. Cheers Billy!

Thanks for that brother Ookami.
Words infuse soul into music and when used correctly can encourage, uplift, deliever, instruct, warn and save a person.
I appreciate your feedback and hope the track was inspiring for you. Hope your studies are going well. God bless bro.

Hello Billy interesting track, from the infectious repetitive "melody," to the "serious" message of the state of delcine of
Human kind. The message (in the form of spoken word) urges all people to wake up before it's too late. Though I am not a religious buff, I do see and understand the
awful state of affairs that we are in globally.

Great track, great message, well done.

Appreciate the feedback brother Dennel.
Yes i try to make music with purpose as much as i can.
And i find that spoken word works the best for me, just as great spoken words from the past from people like Martin Luther, JFK, Mandela and the late Muhammed Ali still resonate in our lifetime.

Kingdoms will rise, and kingdoms will fall, but do not be troubled. Be the best that you can be. God bless u bro.

As creative as ever Mister Dragon! I'd love to have a peep inside your mind for a whole day. I imagine it buzzing with lyrics .... things you made up .... things you heard and things you read .... all vying for position in the room marked creativity. Must be a big and busy room. I can see a thousand words ever tumbling over one another while decisions are struggling to be made on how can I put this bit and where can I use this and oh wow those words and that message are wonderful I must get it out there! Your head is like a beehive of buzzing activity.
My one criticism is your voice should be louder. The whole piece is quite gentle but a little to gentle. The message in the lyrics box needs declaring loud and clear. You need some fire and brimstone. You need to be bashing that pulpit with a sense of urgency. Eight out of ten for creativity ... ten if that voice can be fronted up.
Billydragon1
Billydragon1 replied 23rd May 2016 - 9 years ago
Brother Silver.
I am humbled by your feedback and oration.
I wanted the message to be the main focus on this track, hence the simplicity (gentle) of the track.
If the voice seems a little less, i guess it is the 'sub' bass that is bringing it down. But i did test the track on my little stereo and it seemed fine. But mastering is not in my field, usually it's just a quick mixdown for the final track.

Yes the poem/lyric has an urgent message to it for we are living in the endtimes, and yet many seem oblivious to this fact. The heart grieves when the eyes see people living in ignorance. And the timeless writing of Hosea rings true in that "My people are destroyed for their lack of knowledge(vison)".

But we who are free must continue to be and they that are blind must strive to see that this life is all vanity, that this life disappears quickly, and we are here now and tomorrow we are gone.

Stay true to yourself brother Silver.

Blessings - B.

I enjoyed making this track too.
It somehow came together as the heavenly powers meant it to be.
Funny, i was listening to an old track of yours 'The Beijing Tapes' yesterday, it still is a great track in my Looperman collections.

Thank you fellow MMM user. I like arranging sounds together to make sense or tell a story. And this one was started out simple but then i heard other loops and decided to do an extended version.

Peace out my brother and welcome to the Loop!

Yo Mister Dragon.
Nice to see you being as creative as ever.
Unusual approach this one but works nicely.
You and Joe Kramer are my two favourite voices on here.
You both have a very distinctive voice quality that is perfect for story telling poetry reading singing and especially electronics.

Billydragon1 replied 11th May 2016 - 9 years ago
Hi there brother Silver. Was nice to hear from you.
Yeah i like the idea of taking concepts from differing genres and alligning them together to form a vivid picture or story. This extended version was an exercise in finding balance between sounds, bringing in a new sound and dropping one off and vice versa.

Yes i have not done any spoken word for a long time, in fact i have not written for a while now. Other goals have come ahead but will try later on in the year when i get time off work.

Take care my friend and stay original.

Very nicxe track. Live the growls and synths used. The vocals get a bit pushed away by the rest of the track. Maybe you could balance it a bit more. But the theme fits well to the track.

Thank you very much for the listen and honest feedback brother.
I had a feeling the vocal might be drowning out a bit so had gone back and brought the level up. Also taken down that bassline level a little and worked on panning other instruments a bit more and reuploaded. Learning as always this side hobby lol!
Stay strong Mudhoen.

Words have much power, they can wound, and they can heal and tears will cushion the blows.

Adversities are there for our building of character and we must go through them, not around them. In this we way we learn, and develop ourselves thick skin that can endure what the world throws our way. Always be strong brother Wolf.
We must always check our attitudes everyday.

Blessings to you - brother Dragon.

Now rain drops come in all different sizes, so what size are we talking about here? ;) I remember Casey Kasem on the radio growing up, reconized his voice immediately! Life is but a blink of an eye and we are immortalized through our actions and what we leave behind when our time is up. When your time comes will you be able to say I tried my best? Very motivational speech Billy, we sure could use more like this! :D
Billydragon1
Billydragon1 replied 10th Apr 2016 - 9 years ago
Is there such a thing as an average size raindrop? Probably the size of a teardrop :)

Yes Kasey Kasem introduced me a lot to the American Top 40's in my childhood. Oh such good music that is missing from todays music.

Indeed life is like a blink of an eye. 10 years will pass just like that. What we are worried about may never come. Some people say that a house, a car(material things) are our greatest asset, but to a wise man, time is the greatest.

Always do your best Burt. Even in the smallest of things, as hidden cameras are watching. You may be destined for something greater than where you are now. Do your best brother in this life, and that is all we can do!

Stay strong brother. Blessings - Billy.

The average weight of a raindrop is about .1 mL or .003 oz :)

All jokes aside, great music. Your vocal sounds great, really a motivational style song that makes you question yourself if youre doing everything you can to make something of yourself. Great job!

hello Billy

Some high quality samples you've used here, especially the drums (and some backgrounds). Also I like the concept of merging different elements in a cinematic sort of way, you're really good at it! Is that the Nirvava 'hello' from 'Smells like teen spirit' at 4:50? Haha. Also I like the processing that you always tend adding to the vocal, there is some filtering and delay in there I guess. Very cool.

I am inside the process of exploring closer the electronic territories right now. Hopefully I find some connections and will be able to produce some arrangements to your looperman acapellas because your spiritual message is somehow very familiar to me.

Congrats on the track and best to you, Alex
Billydragon1
Billydragon1 replied 25th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
Hi Alex. So cool to hear form you.
Yes that was a Nirvana sample covered by someone else that i don't know.
The vocals are running through a Wah filter and also a Delay filter. Yeah the samples were carefully analysed for what could be used and chopped up then some Delay added.
Feel free to use or sample any of my poems Alex. Would love to hear what you cook up!
All the best brother. Blessings - B.
