YEA MAN YEA, I been there. Welcome to the Loop bro. The last time I tried to sing at that high of an octave, I couldn't talk for a week. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
I'm glad you are walking well these days Mack Man....! If it hurts, don't do it. Yeah, I hear you though a capo just wouldn't get me where I was going on this song so I just belted it...I have to rehearse several times to get it right still.
Dave, I think OD hit the nail on the head....a bit like listening to Geddy Lee, and man that is a good thing.
It takes a great deal of courage and talent to sit down and record both vocals and guitar, and not use overdubs on the final product. You pulled it off and did yourself proud.
I can see myself sitting in a large arena, and you up in the spotlight playing your guitar and singing this song......
beautiful work.
Definitely one of the best songs I've heard in a while. I hope all is well.
Damn Bear! I would love to play for this audience for sure brother....You all come over here take your time and listen and I wanna come back for more great comments. The next one just begs to be better man. I really hope I can live up to the billing. I'm going to invest in myself and get professional recording of my best songs here soon. I will credit the looperman site as well as some others for puttin gas in my car... Thank you Sir! You all are real good to me. If any of you are on facebook I would be very happy to have you as friends... Cheers!
Cool track man!...some nice playing there and I do like the vocal timbre superbly balanced with a single instrument, you've obviously tracked this in one take and it has a very live small studio room tone, far from being a criticism it would be great to hear this developed into a more layered affair with the guitar and vocals done separately, however that isn't a necessity,it's very refreshing to hear some music played from the heart and with some real substance..big thumbs up! cheers Dave
Coming from you, it means more on an acknowledgement level praise alone. But for you to give 'just the feel' cred, well that's even better. Astute observations make us better... Thank you Sir. I dig the comment
This is just so dm good davepowell1....the lyrics...the vocal delivery...that superbly played guitar...and nice clean production....I don`t care much for comparisons...cause this is absolutely your song...but there were a couple of parts I caught a little Lennon or a touch of Rush....but I`m happy just listening to the way you do this...and gratefuil we still have these little communities where I can find the real music & leave the radio off......well done...Ed
Wow... more great words. I haven't been to any site where I gets these sincere comments to the appreciation of my work as I do here. Thank you Tumbleweed....
If you have some riffs or loops you don't know what to do with, just send them over my way and I'll try to put some stuff ontop of it.
...or, we can work together on an original melody/riff...whatever floats.
...ok, im not gonna lie...
ill have to listen to this again to liten to the lyrics, because when youre playing that guitar, my mind shuts everything else out. its a true tour de force.
masterful.
this track has such an epic, RUSH-esque vibe to it.
adore.
*tear
..within the first 3 seconds, i was blown away.
the tone and melodies singing from your guitar are...magical.
its also nice to see another one-taker on here. i have learned to appreciate the wabi-sabi of imperfections of a first take. its brings a real genuine vibe to the overall piece.
positively beautiful.
would love to collab some time...your guitar and i singing together might be awesome!
mad kudos, sir...well done...
If you will teach me, I will follow. I have never had the opportunity to work with anyone with talent like yours before. I am actively seeking professional production of many of my songs in local markets here in Tucson and Phoenix. I don't even know where to begin on collaboration, but to ask how do we? And again, Sweet lady....Thanks
You are truly a one man show.Guitar and vocal work is on the money.I would love to hear this song with full orchestration. although it's perfectly fine as is. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Thanks for great compliment Mack Man. I'm a one man show by necessity only. I would love to get together with some good local musicians. Damn day job....
Man great guitar in the this, the lyrics are top notch. Vocals great, and I love the background vocals, everything together makes this track very unique. An instant fav for me, thanks for sharing and keep it up.
Oh, so nice! Beautiful lyrics, laid-back finger picking, and a voice unashamed of hitting the high notes. This is in the true singer-songwriter tradition.
Hey, I think we have an acoustic group going on here, given the other commentators. Good company.
Fortunately you gave a comment on one of my tracks, so that I had the chance to find YOUR tracks. Thanks.
This song is really touching and very fine played. I like your kind of handmade acoustics very much.
Greetings.
