Figured you had to be cooking up something. Always a treat to hear what you've been up to, and always a surprise. This is typically genre defying and unique. Happy new year mate.
I love the tune and instrumentation and ur sample vocals are subtle but effective in creating that chill zone -feels a bit jazz fusion. Well-balanced. I enjoyed the listen Kay
Thanks for listening and commenting - yeah I have treated the vocals so there are some artifacts but I thought the lofi warmth and quirkiness fitted ok
Thanks Kay - I wasnt sure it worked but after repeated fiddling I had gotten so used to it I had no perspective - just tweaked the reverb after Manuela's comment. I appreciate you listening and commenting
Dear BB - I look forward to listening to your latest track and thanks very much for the kind words and the fav. I really appreciate you taking the time and giving some feedback.
Thanks very much for this generous and supportive feedback - I think I might have rushed this one a bit but perhaps some imperfections are not always a bad thing. I know your gorgeous voice and will most certainly be listening to your track(s) again soon. Again thank you
WOWWWWWW!!! this is absolutely beauteous in every way, you know I have listened to a lot of tracks here and this one I have to say stands out! the most what a track seriously gorgeousss!!! vocals and the music and production as a whole is totally mint! not to mention super unique. An instant fave Mr Midas you truly are awesome at producing music that grabs & holds attention from start to finish Bravo :)
Who cares about genre? Got a jazzy vibe tho. This is great, enjoyed it a lot. You should check out another looperman artist Pseudoble. I think you'd dig it maybe. Wish I had some time to create, just listening to the odd thing at the moment. Cheers Zoot.
You hit the beat and it conveys a raw emotion through your vocal and the music is great. Singing - yeah - it takes practice but you got off to a good start here. I genuinely feel you can build on this - please keep it all going. Kayos
Hi Nonube.... gave your track a listen and first I wonder if the dual vocals were meant to not be in sync or part of the arrangement?....my first thought was just that alone could change my initial response...the musical effects are greatl....I like the message and the feel a lot....it's a good track with some potential for more in my opinion.....I like the different feel overall and would say keep it going.
Yeah I agree Glenn - it was 1 am and I should have just left it till I had time to tweak it properly - but I'll take it down soon and retweak it - the vocal was the last thing i did so it is in need of the most attention but I can hear other things too
I really like the variety of sounds but I can see what you mean about possibly adding to it. My feeling was a hook going through it that really stands out. I am not an expert so that is just my instant thought but it is an amazing tapestry musically. Kay0s
Thanks for stopping by and checking out some more of my stuff and thanks too for feedback - it's pleasing to hear : )
I will return the listening shortly!
I like what you've done with this. It's very similar to the original, but still worlds apart. Your addition of the percussion takes it to a different place. Honestly, no offense to Joni and her crew, but I like your bass guitar tones much better. The effects on your acoustic make it a little softer too. Even though you say it's a little jarring at first, I have to disagree. Your version actually seems to be more relaxed, even though there is more to it. I think with what you've done, it almost gives it a darker feel. Like something out of an old 90s indie flick.
Yeah, good work.
Take care.

nice work bro its got a unique vibe, yeah folkish but it has a blues vibe the vocal i think complements the difference you were trying to get, a creative piece of work, guitar sounds great, nice share a fresh approach and another artists stretching boundaries and being adaptable, that works for me
I think it is mostly bluesy stuff here. I will admit it was a bit of confusing the way the vocals "stood" in the song, not making it unlikable though. Keep coming with fresh ideas
Wish you the best, Anthony.
I love the unconventional mix of instrumentation on this track - that vocal has such an interesting quality - slightly Alanis Morrisette-ish and it soars and dips, chaining the whole track together. There's a Spanish feel, adding extra interest. You listen once and you want to listen again. Exceptional. You should be v proud! Kay0s
OOooh this on another level it has a touch of that raw bluesy feel, I absolutely love music that speaks! to the heart and makes me sit up and take notice. The vocal is so mellifluous and compelling. I become bored easily when hearing the same ole thing these days when I hear something different and interesting It instantly grabs my attention & this did. I like versatility and unique-ness and this, *Hands down* is very unique, I know you mentioned that it was slightly jarring but I think everything works, eclectic, innovative, unique, supreme I could go on but Overall this is created by someone that clearly has the MIDAS touch (That'd be you sir) OUTSTANDING! you can tell I liked this a lot! FAVED!
Aww shucks - thats such a lovely comment - thank you. Im very pleased you like it - your latest one was gorgeous - with your voice you could have rapped the joni lyric over this music of mine but I had didn't have anyone to beg so just borrowed and stole (as the old saying doesn't quite go). Thanks again.
Love it bro. It's got a dub thing going on to my ears. I like the sound production and the loopy semi repetitive nature of it is also cool. Your minimal kinda intense vocals are perfect in my opinion and suit the track to a t. Faved...:)
well done bro, it takes bravery to put yourself on a pedestal and bring your own vocal when your not a singer, just like me, i didnt know what a daw was 4 years ago, seriously, never ever sung or rapped and 2 1/2 years ago, i thought WTF, same comment as as you, here goes guys my voice, be as hard as you like, they weren't and i haven't stopped singing since :))
so you get a big smile from me, continue being true to yourself the vocal is not bad at all, but dig into the processing side, you'll be amazed how you can get yourself to sound, bro i use to want to run to the toilet and throw up when i heard my voice but i persevered, now i can at least listen to myself without cringing, im actually my own biggest critic. top marks Nonube
Sorry my friend, I didn't realise I had not responded to you and badnode ! Thanks for listening and commenting on all my tracks and sharing your tips and experience.... I can relate to thinking my singing is shite... it is ! But using voice as an element to a track that can possibly be worth exploring
