Love it bro. It's got a dub thing going on to my ears. I like the sound production and the loopy semi repetitive nature of it is also cool. Your minimal kinda intense vocals are perfect in my opinion and suit the track to a t. Faved...:)
well done bro, it takes bravery to put yourself on a pedestal and bring your own vocal when your not a singer, just like me, i didnt know what a daw was 4 years ago, seriously, never ever sung or rapped and 2 1/2 years ago, i thought WTF, same comment as as you, here goes guys my voice, be as hard as you like, they weren't and i haven't stopped singing since :))
so you get a big smile from me, continue being true to yourself the vocal is not bad at all, but dig into the processing side, you'll be amazed how you can get yourself to sound, bro i use to want to run to the toilet and throw up when i heard my voice but i persevered, now i can at least listen to myself without cringing, im actually my own biggest critic. top marks Nonube
Sorry my friend, I didn't realise I had not responded to you and badnode ! Thanks for listening and commenting on all my tracks and sharing your tips and experience.... I can relate to thinking my singing is shite... it is ! But using voice as an element to a track that can possibly be worth exploring
Genuinely enjoy these vocals, I love the feel of this as well, it's got a real solid down tempo vibe, reminds me of some of my favorites, and you vox remind me of early moby. Awesome stuff Nonube!!
Thanks Cyberflares - it is very repetitive for sure but as you say some tracks we can get away with it - does feel like cheating somewhat but creating a break or a change up is a skill I'm still trying to master.
i had to, it would have been rude not to :))
another good piece setting a scene, nice spoken in the back oriental flavors, good drum track and the use of reverb as a fattening agent to make the suspenseful feeling of being in a cave more realistic it widens the sound too, so i get a laid back chilled out Aussie who appears to have some skill, nice to have you on board mate
Ha - thanks again, that's cool of you, this one is even more repetitive than the first one but as I made it I was reminded me of falling into a deep sleep and nearly missing my flight.
very cool bro, you set the vibe immediately, that hit is so dense, great bass, and the delicate snare mixed with the percs were the perfect accompaniment great guitar and keys too, so we got a playa, top job Nonube
Thank you for the very nice compliments, I appreciate it indeed. I just love to sing, have done from a very young age :)
I agree Ella Fitzgerald had an impeccable diction and knew how to immediately hold her audience with her pure tones/vocals and will forever be known as Iconic and first lady/Queen of Jazz/song as a singer and atrtist she was the real deal.
Welcome to LM hope you have fun here and look forward to hearing more of your work.
Thank you - I just played your summertime track - cant comment yet but what a voice you have and what style - Ella Fitzgerald - what a great jazz singer
