The opening guitar riff pulls us gently into the song with waves of reverb and there is a electro buzz like a cross between a didge and a mouth harp setting up some cross rhythm. And then a very sweet vocal, and such complementary melodic and warm arps, builds with some seriously fine hooks. Electro pop bliss happening here. Very nice structure too - a real hit.
Great track Alan, Really love that vocal, and the track fits it beautifully. Did you build the track around an accapella ? sounds really nice, great mix and a really lovely EQ balance. Great job !
Thank you! Yes I have written the music around the acapella vocal I found here, a very nice one from Ashes And Dreams, wanted to create some ambient/progressive vibe - with the rock touch at the end :)
nice work Alan, lovely keys at the intro but they do get a little lost in the busier parts, maybe you could route the piano to another mixing slot also and just add some stereo enhancement to bring it out more, thats what a tend to do when im struggling for a section to cut through. vocal is a great fit and the guitar sims are great too nice track
Thank you mate, I appreciate the feedback and the advise, piano has definitely been the trickiest to mix, will keep that in mind for future improvements :)
Hi Alan, I am not good in analyzing details but the whole song is a flow of Art. Silver Bella do come out quite different behind all the spheres and the message flows directly into my soul. May give her voice 2-3 dB more gain after 58sec or less for the guitar :-) Cheers, Oli
Another moody and immersive track. There's a sense of anticipation all the way that's only resolved at the end when you drop the distorted guitar. Kinda almost a bit p J Harvey. Nice guitar tones, you use a sim or real amp?
Thank you for stopping by again! I am glad to read you caught the sense of the progression with gradual buildup to the distorted guitars.
Guitars are sims, for the clean/reverbered guitar I used Solaris GTR, for the distorted one Ample Guitar LP from Ample Sound
The Guitar is far out, probably my favorite part of your track. The piano seems rather quiet to me. I almost can't hear it at all at some points (I'm using headphones). I think it'll sound better if you bring it out just a tad more.
Love that Intro, Smoothly Psychedelic. Well done tune I enjoyed my listen. Tracktion, I remember playing around with that DAW in Linux a few years back, Good work.
Ooh, wasn't expecting that vocal, instantly got Tool vibes, nice, real nice.
This is happy Tool, I like it.
Oh the guitar comes in.
If you'd like a less midi-sounding guitar sound let me know, I'd record it for you.
That was a very well put together track. Great freakin' job!
Thanks a lot, glad you liked it....and also that you've mentioned Tool, one of my favourite bands! I'll be ok for now with the guitar but thanks a lot for the offer :)
Well it's an excellent work. I liked the "power" of the guitar parts and it was a pleasure listening this 6 min. piece of music. I intend to watch the video as well. So, see you there.
that is a great composition the instruments sonic space is on par for me. Keep it up. From watching the video you have I would not add anything to the track. But from listening without the video I feel some parts have plenty of space for some lead guitar. Also maybe a guitar slide or 2 as build ups. But that's just me and I spoil a lot of my work. So carry on producing this music it great
Thank you for the nice comment and for taking the time to watch the video as well, really appreciate it! I think I know the bits where you would add the guitar slides and they would probably work well. All that part before the guitar melody starts was purposedly left with synth only to have the crescendo part first, then the pause of emptiness before the track "wakes up" again, if it makes sense :)
Hello Alan, what a nice vibe through the song. Great Mastering (could go straight into the lathe for pressing Vinyl) Maybe 1-2dB less around 4kHz. Love the Drums. Cheers, Oli
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Great intensity and vibe. Love the synth work and all the detail in the background adds something special. Vox are awesome. I liked the distorted guitar too but my personal taste would have been a slightly different sound on that, dirtier somehow. Great production in my ears tho. Cheers Zoot
Welcome to the loop, Alan. You come in swingin', too. Good work.
This is cool. It reminds me a lot of some of the deeper underground bands of the 90s alternative scene. Specifically the bassline and the drums. The bass is definitely very 90s. That's a good thing.
I like it. I don't know who's doing the vocals, or where you got them, but it was a good pick for sure.
Thank you very much for your comment! Yes there is something coming from late 90s I would say, I listened to a lot of alternative rock at the time...and I carried that with me for inspiration. The vocals actually come from an artist on Looperman, really love them, need to wait before mentioning the name, hopefully soon :)
hello and welcome, nice to welcome a new member, great artist title, i'll call you Alan tho,
great work, influence of Floyd, fire bass nice drums that make a statement but not in your face, the production is spot on, sound quality is crystal clear bro, nice to have you on board, and wanting to join in and collab, really nice listen, im looking forward to see what you bring
Hello thank you very much for the kind comment! I mixed it myself but learning a lot on that side of things...Putting lots of idea together, stay tuned :)
