Patricia could even say nothing and you would still feel her presence on the track, but she is wonderful when extemporizing.
Thanks for your comment and for listening.

I'm sure the singing matches your muzic, but I think reggae was a very good choice here.

I've never done spoken word, so that was fun :-). I like it.

You know I couldn't do anything else from your acapella. It's fun and I can feel it.
Thanks Pat.

Sail away..Yeah.. Sing it man. Melody sweet and a little Country twand in there with a touch of Jazz. Vox is natural and flowed. Musical performance cute and appropriate. Your range is amazing I think you have a Flava' that can span arenas untouched. Cool Piece my friend!

Yeah this is really good!!

It sounds like late 80's/early 90's music which I just *loveee* :D .. referring to your earlier comment

"she pulls out all my unexpressed natural funk" - She done the same for me too!

Thanks for sharing..

Hey Peiro

Good work indeed. Nice groove. Great drum track. Nice middle section. I'm impressed. Good sound too. Good to hear funk is not dead with young producers. Keep it going.

First of all thanks for the "young" and the "producers". I'm near my next birthday and that's encouraging.
Trony thanks for the comment too. To have him I said quickly I was working with Edwards and I had some Roger's file for the guitar tracks. Dunno what he understood.
Ciao.

PieroPeluche
PieroPeluche replied 21st Mar 2012 - 13 years ago
I try to translate it for non italians: "If I did not see it was a production from you: I swear I thought that was a 80/90's song... with real instruments!
Bravo...
As you know it's not my genre... but you can hear a good song... and we appreciate."

Many 80/90's productions were not made with real instruments... or with few real instruments only... I listened to a lot of music in those years, maybe that's why I sound similar.

Thank you very much for listening and commenting.

It's a real fun to work on Pat's acapellas... and this one is a "strong" one, with very good lyrics. Considering I never bought funky records, she pulls out all my unexpressed natural funk. That's surprising.

This is spot on got a 90s Whitneyesk kind of feel (which i am sure Patricia will love) i am a little jealous cos i have tried quite a few times to do something that would do her fab vocals justice and failed so well done you like it a lot

This is cool! Nice use of the vocals! The electronic noises are an added bonus! You nailed it with the chord progressions! Good stuff!

Thanks Spivkurl,

I usually don't think too much on what I do until I have to "package" the songs... I try to follow my musical instinct because I'm not strictly a technician being self-taught.

For non-italian users, I'm just giving props for the wonderful job he made with this acapella. Great idea and great development. Nice work!
PieroPeluche
PieroPeluche replied 16th Mar 2012 - 13 years ago
Thanks Leverett,

if you take a better look into this site you'll find many other talented guys and girls producing nice and interesting stuff but, yes, you are right, someone still remixes with the same few loops and few ideas. I really like to play with sounds even if my pc isn't that powerful and I sometimes have to mixdown some complex track... this way is a bit harder to get the perfect result you can have in mind.

A presto.

This is my second attempt at the remix of this song and maybe not the last.
Have a nice day.

Refreshing sound, simple, not too much...the only thing is you can't really understand the rap while it's going during the singing.

But, good job.

Thanks Patricia,

I sometimes like to experiment. Anyway I moved the rap to the end of the song. It's smoother.

Hi Piero,

I didn't realize it at the time, but when I tossed a comment to Nate, I notice I had commented to you on his tune. I happened to do a version of 'A Girl I use to know,' also. I'd like to hear your critique if you'd like to chime in.

LOL, looperman is confusing with all this mess of artists "stealing" acapellas all around like mad. That's maybe the secret of its success: you can never know what will happens.

Hi Piero

This is a great production and it all fits together very nicely. Top job. Love it. A very accessible song I can sing along with. Really good. Great vocals. Catchy chorus. Wonderful bass line. Super mix (have you upgraded your sound system?) Nice rhythmic feel to it. Well done. Pop music is alive and well! Congratulations on a wonderful song.

Ha ha ha... no, I haven't made any upgrade. I only better balanced the eq on my "custom" speakers and started fighting with you against this embarrassing war of decibels.
Most of the compliments go to PowderJay1.
Thanks again for the suggestions Richie.
