I still like the pronunciation of the spoken word, it's actually recorded Google Translate speaking my text, then chopped into sentences, normalised all of them and made some small moves to get it better inline with the music, later a whole series of FX on it to change from female into male voice, lift the highs and de-ess (Anina, Dusk Reverb, ReaEQ, ReaDelay, ReaLimit, ReaPitch, ) and of course sidechaining the audio to create room on the pad instrument using ReaEQ.

Yes, the genre selection, always a struggle. as I usually start from scratch and not try to match an example I start most of the time not knowing what genre it will become. Then the big guessing starts, in this case techno like beats, trance like arps and edm like buildup/drop, but not enough melodic for melodic techno resulted in dropping it in Electronic Dance Music.

Hi Kay, misunderstanding, I was thinking of if it could be interesting to see if I can fit the original vocals into a "danceable" beat, but I try not to do that for protected material without consent. I asked once; for the Charlie Chaplin - Final speech, from The Great Dictator, was to expensive for a non commercial DIY project :)

Glad you like it. Created the drop the 15th, didn't know what to do with it and opened it again 2 days ago, found a beginning and a break, yesterday created a second break and an ending, used the mic, added 2 samples. And for the first time created several side-chains to create room for vocal, pulse and kick (Kick-->Bass EQ high pass, Pulse-->Pad EQ band, vocal-->sample EQ low pass) That was fun, will use it a lot more in the future ;) Wanted to upload today...
