I just finished my espresso, and I must say this song is adding an edge to the experience! This is so classic sounding! The guitar work is stellar! The vocals suit the style very well! Excellent mix! Great rockin song!
now thats metal guitar....great job Eric...and the vocal fits to a T Mark...This one is the way it should be...with vocals that are fully legible/audible and the accompaniment still shines through (I have heard more that a few metal tracks where the vocal was just totally overpowered)...Nicely done guys...(its a hot mix)......Ed
Ed,
TY man. This in my opinion is where metal should be. Black and Death Metal are just all double kick and emotionless. Not to mention the screaming... :/
I have called this style "White Metal".
And yes, I mixed it hot on purpose :)
Mark.
wow way to rock out! Eric brought the heat on guitar and lyrics rocked! really brought the character of the track to life with the misty mountains and helicopters. Very Impressive Gentlemen ROCK ON! keep up the awesome work.
Well shoot. I am having coffee as I listen to this and now I wanna bounce off every wall in the house! Could totally hear this on the hard rock radio station. Perfect
OUCHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Me EARS are bleeding Having said that I bet I will still be able to hear Julie say do want a cupa tea.

Kev and Julie,
TY man. I wrote this one back in the late 80's and modernized it. Wrote it shortly after I saw Maiden live in Toronto for their Powerslave tour. Awesome show.
Mark.
Great track, love how this one has clean vocals instead of grunting (don't get me wrong I can enjoy both but this fits the track better in my opinion) also enjoyed the guitar very much, top work on that ;D
Keep continuing making these tracks (if you like of course)
Johnny,
Thx man. I never thought the "grunting" ever sounded good...it is like a copout I think for those that cannot sing.
And yes, Eric's awesome soloing gave this song a new dimension altogether.
Mark.
Wow! I am very very impressed with this cover. I have tried over the years to cover a song or two and a dismal failure followed. You not only kept to the Floyd your vocals gave it a unique flair and was a great plus to its already great sound! Yes very impressive!
Bro, looks like that new studio set up is working out nicely for you! Great cover of what is one of the best songs ever written. Like Ed ssid, pretty close to the original and dude, you flat nailed the solo, hahaha....OUTSTANDING!!!!
Looking good brother. Here's to a great 2013. And onward and upward to part 3 of the series from Pink Floyd :)
Bear,
Thanks man. Yeah the solo was a looming challenge on this one. The more Floyd I do, the more Mr. Gilmour teaches me...the guy can play like no other. But yeah, I got it. I tried using the Les Paul for the main rhythm but humbuckers gave it too fat of a sound to try to mimic a Stratocaster. The new studio is a gem for sure and I have been blessed. I have a couple more Floyd in mind...
Mark.
One of the greatest band's song from the greatest tributer in this sites. Unbelievable work, my feet and my heart was movin back with smile on my face to maybe 40 years?
Thanx for sharin it man
Happy 2013, Danke
