Thanks for the list of samples. I don't have any Native Instruments stuff but these sounds are good so I'm sure I'd get on well with them.
Would like more orchestral stuff so I can integrate it into less obvious genres such as psychedelic rock, delta blues, hip hop, d'n'b or a combo of them all.
As I asked before, do you compose any of these tracks specifically for images?
As you clearly know what you're doing, I'd be interested to hear what you make of my own cinematic, very stringy and drumless composition called Visible Aura. Made a long time ago but recently slightly updated and improved. Not high quality string samples but I think they sound good. https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/104733
Love ur music man...would like to talk with you more about them and see if I could purchase some. I have an outdoor hunting and fishing show I'm starting and need some music. Your music is a great fit so far! Love it!
I find this a bit difficult to analyse and take apart so I'll just say it's very effective cinematic composition that wouldn't be out of place in a whole load of movies and TV shows. So, Game Of Thrones, all sorts of historical stuff.
It reminds me a little in places of Thomas Newman's recent Skyfall soundtrack so check that out if you haven't (I mean away from the film ie just as a piece of music).
I like the Eastern lead melody starting on 0:32 as it's very majestic. Nice, slow notes gradually rising. And then it gets overtaken by another part so a skilful blend there.
Clearly, as you can put all this together, you could do loads more like it. Are these just straight musical compositions or would you like them to be attached to a picture, so to speak?
Finally, a list of sound samples/instruments used on this would be interesting (to me, at least).
I originally started this composition to attempt to create a much longer and flowing strings section, and then I got bored. I worked on this for about two months so my mind wandered a bit. As I came up with different parts that I liked I had to really get creative in how to blend the different parts (thanks for noticing!). Obviously, I tend to gravitate towards music that would fit nicely in visual projects.
As for the list of samples, I used Native Instruments samples primarily.
Alicia's Keys - Piano
NI - Strings (Legato Fortepiano & Staccato)
NI - Brass (Staccato)
NI - Session Strings (Legato Fortepiano & Staccato)
NI - Mutations (Congas)
EXS24 - Ultrabeat Kits
NI - Battery Kits
And other textures in EXS24
I am sure that are at least a couple more, but without sitting down at my DAW, I couldn't remember them all.
very welldone . considered & thouthfull . + some moments which tastes( a bit ) similar to eastern music & I like it.great job colleague Douglas.respects & regards.___Behnam
Behnam, Thank you for kind thoughts, although I was not sure where to go with this track at first, I think the direction it turned out was a good one. Thanks again for your comments, they are always appreciated.
Thank you. I very much had to resist the temptation to add something else on top of this, and I agree some of the most influential music for me personally has been simple.
I must admit, I usually polish up my stuff before submitting it, but I definitely agree that I could work on the levels a bit.

On the technical side of things, I think you could get some more volume, maybe a compressor to help boost and even things out a bit.
Nice job, peaceful and soothing.
