Thank you Vicky, I appreciate your insight. I totally agree with you. I'm thinking of re-sampling the vocals with some plug-ins to even out the dynamic range and EQ'ing it after so it sits better on the track.
This pella on it's own is pretty catchy. You've surrounded it with a good muzical atmosphere and allowed it to shine within your accompaniment. Some may think this easy to do, maybe so, but not always.
Now I didn't say it was easy. I said it's not that hard to conceal the background. Yes sometimes it is a challenge to work with such vocals.
Also, I meant that today's generation is a bit, how should I say this. Lazy. There's is such much information out there that there is no excuse why your mix should come out bad.
I know this cause besides having kids, I moderate 2 popular online games for children/teenagers and some adults, and every time a new quest comes out some of them come up to me and ask "Capt, what's the the new about?
Sometimes I help them but in general I force them to read. The new generation (not all) has become illiterate as well.
Now I don't want to jump of the subject but it comes back to the point where I state some are just to lazy when there is so much information in the power of your fingers.
This is not a rant or rave, this is just an observation from what I experienced in life. I'm not perfect either, but I try my best.
So chill! As I listen, my heart beats to the rhythm, takes me away to a safe, serene place I haven't been in quite a while. There, I am free to be me, to be happy, to close my eyes and be at peace.

really good use of the vox and nice understated accompanying mellow groove. ur right she has a great voice but u have done well to marry it to the music.
I gotta say... I've got this Lowlife sample in my library, and have used it in a track, but never finished it. You applied it with masterful skill. I'm impressed. It's been compressed and cleaned-up with precision and fits the track, or the track fits it, or both. Great rendering.
Hey. Yea man, I know what you mean. Sometimes working with vocals can be a challenge. You have a very good ear, yes I compressed and equalized it a bit so it could fit the track.
not sure if you changed anything...but, it sounds very relaxxxxxing, im imagining sitting on the couch listening to this and not wanting to do a darn thing. love the feel, like swayin in the wind.
